I cannot believe that we’re down to six dancers, and I still can’t believe that Will is gone! Tonight’s dances will determine who will be in the finale, so I hope you’re voting; I want to see Twitch in the final four! Adam Shankman joins the judges tonight, and Daphne and I are joined by the infamous Dancer X.
So first up tonight is Courtney and Mark doing a Viennese Waltz...and oh no...they are dancing to a David Cook song...you know the one Jules, about magic rainbows. Well, other than the song, that was really nice. Mark did really well with this one. But the question is, did Courtney carry him? Because she can. The only other thing I have to say is bring back Archie.
I knew I was gonna hear it about Courtney and Mark dancing to David Cook, so I’m going to address that first. Although his single is kind of lame, I liked this version of him singing it more so than in the Idol finale. David Cook is an awesome singer and could make the phone book sound good. Now I’ll address the dancing. I’m not usually a fan of the Viennese Waltz because it’s kind of boring, but I think Courtney and Mark connected well during the dance and made it look effortless. Mark seems like he’s had a hard time connecting with partners since Kourtni left, but maybe being hooked up with another Courtney was just what he needed. The dance wasn’t impressive, but it was nice to watch….and listen to.
Dancer X thought that despite a suitably tender ending, this performance was unmemorable and marred by the cheesy, cookie cutter melody of the chosen song. In that respect, Dancer X must grudgingly admit that the bargain basement waltz and faux-emotion music were a perfect match. More to the dancing point, Courtney and Mark simply looked average. Sure, it may have “looked effortless” as those horrid judges said, but who at home can tell the difference between effortless and boring? Dancer X wants to see shock and awe at this stage of the competition. These dancers cannot get complacent and phone in a boring, safe USO singles’ night performance. The mysterious Dancer X could have done that number, and Dancer X has put on a few pounds in recent years.
Katee and Joshua are reunited for a contemporary number choreographed by Tyce Diorio.
Okay, can I just ask, who is picking these songs tonight? First David Cook, then Celine Dion. Ugh...Alright as for the dancing...AMAZING! I like Katee and Joshua together. There were some awesome lifts in that routine, and they nailed them all.
I LOOOOOVE these two together!!! I forgot how wonderful this pair is, they have such a great emotional connection when they dance! The combination of Joshua’s strength with Katee’s grace makes for a beautiful performance. I’m sure Tyce had a ball choreographing this number, because you can throw so many moves and lifts at these two and it just comes out perfectly. I think this routine may have been flawless.
Hey, another sex dance! How exciting! Dancer X can never tell who is abusing who or who is leaving who. Dancer X has just about had it with the lack of interesting storylines this year. We had a week with an Indian dance. That was about it for variety.
But that aside, THIS is what Dancer X wants to see. Stunt work. Carries, jumps, Joshua freezing Katee’s leap in mid-air. Voters will remember that, not to mention the fortuitous re-pairing of the two.
Up next, Twitch and Chelsie are doing the MAMBO! That was great! Cheslie is amazing when it comes to doing the mambo, the salsa, or the tango. And Twitch, he is such a great dancer. He picks everything up so well. I think we have another night of a tough competition.
Chelsie and Twitch are two of my favorite dancers, and the Mambo is always fun. Anytime Chelsie gets a dance were she shows out her fancy footwork it’s fun to watch, but put her in half a red dress and people can’t take their eyes off her. This was a run routine, but I wanted to see more big moves after the last couple. Twitch did the best he could, but was def not suited for this kind of dance.
Another note to the poor fools who draw Waltz out of the bucket: even Salsa is better. Energetic and freeing. Twitch seemed right at home here, allowed to preen and pose as befits the male half of the classic Even Chelsie, whom I usually find relentlessly dull, showed all the right shimmys. And the costumes are fantastic.
Fast work impresses, people. Slow and staged depresses.
Did the producers just try to assassinate Chelsie AND Twitch by running their mistakes back in slow-motion? Dancer X is appalled.
They've done that for a lot of people throughout the competition, but that was a bit much and unnecessary.
Katee and Joshua easily won round one, and I think the other two couples are tied for second. Courtney and Mark are back doing a Jazz routine. They have one of my fav choreographers Sonya Tayeh, so I hope they don’t disappoint.
Okay that is about the 3rd time this season that Courtney beat her partner up. Anyway, I loved that! That was a really cool routine. And that was the best song choice of the night too. It is no secret that Mark is the one I want to see go this week, but really, he is on fire tonight. And I think Courtney is always amazing! I think this may be my favorite of the season. That is the routine that I'd go to see during the tour.
This is just silly. What is that asinine bowlegged crab walk they keep doing? This couple is in serious trouble because they followed up boring with stupid. Truly terrible.
No way!! I totally disagree! This routine was sexy, animalistic, and playful all at the same time. I’m not sure if all audiences will like it, but I did. It was such an original dance and so creative. The two of them gave it a great feeling too. I love Mark’s crazy weird combined with Courtney’s sexy cool. Randomly -Courtney really reminded me of Lacey Schwimmer for some reason (final four last season).
I can see that; she looks like Lacey did in that one routine early on where she jumped on her partner's back. Anyways...Katee and Joshua are back for their second dance with a Paso Doble. When that first started, I was afraid it was going to be to slow, but when they hit that fast part they blew me away. I can't believe how amazing tonight is turning out to be. There hasn't been a bad routine or a bad dancer yet tonight.
Joshua was all man doing that Paso Doble, he had such precision with his moves, his locking really came in handy. Katee was amazing as usual, but Joshua kind of stole the routine. Either way this pair is fantastic.
The first weak showing from these two dancing megastars. And I believe the music did them no favors, starting out all Dracula 2000 and then becoming all Dracula Dead and Loving It. Here’s hoping America remembers their fabulous first performance. Although going up against Courtney and Mark’s clown show farce will keep K&J safe.
Ok I admit that the music did suck, but you can't say the dancing was back. Chelsie and Twitch are closing out the show with a Hip-Hop routine. They’ll be working with the prop of a conductor’s stick.
I absolutely adore Twitch. And Cheslie is really an amazing dancer. And that routine was a lot of fun. So what a great way to close out this amazing night.
Their facial expressions were great with this routine and Chelsie’s hair was crazy! We knew Twitch would do a great job with Hip-Hop, no surprise there, but Chelsie really held her own. I loved the comedy with this performance; it was really entertaining.
At least there was an attempt at a different story here, because Dancer X can’t take any more sundered love tales. Of course, it’s a shame that the story was lifted from an old Bugs Bunny cartoon. Dancer X gives them points for bravery, although the professional embarrassment of having to perform that on live television will surely haunt them for generations to come.
My predictions: Anything goes. Any of these dancers could be in the top four. As for who I would like to see in the top four, Twitch, Joshua, Katee, and Courtney. Chelsie is an absolutely amazing dancer, and I really wish we could have a top 5, but when it comes down to it I think that Courtney and Katee's solos have been so much better than Chelsie's. Chelsie just prances around the stage during her solos, where as Katee and Courtney really dance. Mark had a really good night, but then again, as I said before, Courtney could have carried him. Mark is not as talented as Twitch or Joshua. And he has overstayed his welcome for two weeks now. But as we saw last week, nobody is safe anymore.
Wow, this was a really great show, and the contestants are neck and neck. Daphne and I have been able to predict a lot of the couples to leave the show, but this week is a lot more difficult. They are all bringing such different talent to the table; it’s hard to decide what’s best. I’m going to put Katee and Joshua in the finale, without question. Twitch will be there too. Courtney and Chelsie have been close in my book, but I think Chelsie narrowly wins this battle. That means my best guess says Mark and Courtney will be out this week.
Do you want to see a show that will throw you for a whim! Secret Millionaire now has a premiere date! On Wednesday, December 3, 2008, you can see a millionaire shoved into areas they would never be found!
The dramatic new unscripted series that takes America’s wealthiest individuals away from their lavish lifestyles, sprawling mansions and private planes and places them undercover into some of the most impoverished neighborhoods in America.
The goal of this show is to change the lives of these millionaires to possibly see the world in a different light.
If you think this show is cool or stinks post your comments below!
The Top 8 dancers are now down to 6 as we get closer and closer to the finale. The show started off with a futuristic Hip Hop routine and some wise words from Nigel encouraging young people to vote. Two dancers from the Los Angeles Ballet performed a beautiful Pas de deux, and LL Cool J was the musical guest.
The bottom two guys were, unexpectedly to our Dance bloggers, Will and Twitch, and the girls were Comfort and Courtney.
Will and Comfort were the two to leave.
What is wrong with this show this week? Our two best male dancers and one of the two best female dancers find themselves in the bottom 4? This is ridiculous! No, this is ludicrous! This is turning into another American Idol fiasco. Good grief. Maybe Nigel was wrong. I don’t think I want people who made these choices on So You Think You Can Dance? this week voting for our next president. Next thing we know David Cook will be running our country. Anyway, at least Courtney is safe this week, and we didn’t lose two of our best dancers. Losing Will is horrible. I told Julie, I’d be more upset losing Twitch, because I backed Twitch from the first moment I saw him. But I really thought Will was going to win this competition in the end. What an amazing dancer he is. He could dance rings around Mark, and he was far more likeable than Mark as well. I don’t know what happened here America. Although it would be quite awesome if Mark suffered a mysterious “Jessica King-like” injury and they had to bring Will back in. I did not suggest anything here, Will fans, so put your bats and crowbars away. Mark did win this spot fair and square, no matter how much we don’t like it. We’ll just have to deal by complaining about it.
This was a night of surprises, and not in a good way. Seeing Twich in the bottom two was a shock, but having him joined by Will and knowing one of my two favorite guys was about to leave was horrible. After they both did their solos, I kept hoping that, maybe, it was all part of a joke, and they’d bring back Mark or even Joshua and say “gotcha', you’re going home!” But they gave Will the news he was leaving. I really believe this was a case of people forgetting to vote, or just thinking that THE best dancer in the competition would obviously be safe. I honestly have believed for a while now that he would be the winner…but America has screwed it up. At least I know that he will have a career in dance if he wants one, because he is an incredible dancer, and now people know about him. Comfort on the other hand…is gone. Hopefully for good. I don’t really have a lot to say about that, it was a long time coming. Mark - you better watch your kneecaps!
If you girls say I should be shocked, then...I am SHOCKED! Shootie, shoot-shoot! I thought Will was...a...dancer! Now, he's...not. How will I go on? How can I pick up the pieces?!! I will miss his flashy belt buckle. Wait, is that half-naked chick who was dancing with him still on there? Yeah? Oh, then it's all good. And I said Comfort would go home, so...I'm half-right with my predictions! I may not be much of a Dance fan, but that means Artie was just as good as you ladies, so you betta' step it up, doggs! Ha ha. Funk out!
We are back for another week of So You Think You Can Dance? with the Top 8 dancers. I, Daphne Bellevue, am here, joined by my partner in crime, Julie Heart, and everyone's favorite funky fresh...um...Idol/Dance judge? Artie Funk!
Hey there Dance Fans, and of course Daphne and Artie!
What's up Jules? And welcome back, Artie!
'Sup, Daphne? Julie, girl, good to see you again.
Note to Tony Basil - Wilma Flintstone called. She wants her dress back.
"Oh, Mickey, you're so fine! You're so fine, you blow my mind! Hey, Mickey!" If you know that song...you know our guest judge tonight, Toni Basil!
Sorry, ladies, but that "Number One" has faded and she's now more like "Number Two" at this point. Psshh. Toni Basil. Asking me to respect her is a pretty tall order, regardless of inspiring the lovely Miss Daphne to take up a lifelong fascination with the art of dance. Hey, Mickey! Get a job! Ugh. But hopefully I'll be able to ignore her for the night.
I think I've heard that number once or twice...
That number was one of those reasons I became a dancer in the first place!
Really? Wow, I find it harder and harder to believe you and Clyde ever got along at all! He HATES 80's music!
Yeah, well...lucky for me, that relationship was doomed from the start! And he talks a big game, but I bet DEEP DOWN, Clyde loves that song!
Hee hee. Just picture him in that cheerleader uniform, dancing on a white background.
Aww, Julie! I'm gonna' have NIGHTMARES, now!
Definitely not the kind of cheerleader dreams The Funk Machine usually has, dogg...
Sorry, couldn't resist. On to our first match up of the night....Courtney and Will are teamed up this week, and i have a feeling this is going to be good...they're starting the night with the Samba.
Well, I enjoyed that! Courtney held her own with Will. That was great.
I really liked their moves, and it was def fun to watch...my only complaint was they didn't connect enough as a couple.
See, I have to disagree there. I think they connected just fine. I thought they had fun together!
Well they def had fun, i just didn't see any sexual tension...which is what I think of when I think samba.
Samba is just a lively, partner dance, that tends to be sexy due to the hip and booty shaking...but it isn't really about sexual tension like the salsa.
Speakin' of sexual tension, I couldn't help but imagine Courtney dancing in the nude, which kept me pretty interested, so I guess we're all in agreement that this Samba would have been improved by a complete lack of clothing, right ladies?
That...would definitely add some sexual tension!
Count me in.
Even though they were off on a couple of beats here and there, which is what made this a "good" performance, rather than a great performance.
Next up are Twitch and Katee with a Contemporary number from Mia Michaels.
That was really entertaining! That kiss was, like, whooooa! And Katee looked like Amy Winehouse with that makeup.
Oh my gosh. That was great! Katee did have an Amy Winehouse look about her, only hotter...way hotter. I am surprised at Mia Michaels though! I didn't think she had that in her.
And those two, Twitch and Katee pulled it off well.
Yeah, it was a really interesting fight sequence...and can I say that Mary has the dumbest comments ever?
Yep, yep...I voted that Mary went home last week..no one listened.
I would have voted for her to go home, Daphne. And for the record, I've NEVER liked Mary, her grating voice, or her inane, rambling comments. Knock-knock.
Who's there?
SHUT UP, MARY. YOU'RE ANNOYING.
Heh heh...yeah, she can definitely get on your nerves.
I'd be ok with her being allowed to comment strictly on dance technique, and technique only. She seems very knowledgeable on that topic. Oh...and she's not allowed to speak. She may only type. Place her off-stage in a soundproof booth with a keyboard that outputs to a screen that we can read. THAT is how you handle the horribleness that is Mary. Next!
Well, whether or not Mary is locked in a soundproof booth or sent home is one thing...but, I hope Twitch and Katee aren't going home after this, because I loved it! What did you think of the dance itself, Artie?
I hear Contemporary and I cringe. I watched this and at least it was upbeat and full of violence and conflict, so it was kinda cool. I still don't really get it, but it was less torturous than other contemporary dances I've seen. I agree with Nigel, though, when he said that it was hard to judge the dancing, but the performance was pretty good.
I really think those two are going to find themselves in the finale....so, no worries for them. Can I say that Will starting to dance because of Dirty Dancing is hot?
I think just about everything about Will is hot!
Except the wig...that was a little creepy.
Mark and Comfort are up next doing a Hip Hop, and they both need some smooth moves to stick around...they're both on my cut list.
While they are both on my cut list as well, they did a GREAT job with that.
That was pretty awesome. That was right in Comfort's wheelhouse. She didn't seem like a prop this time, not even during that lift move, which was pretty darn impressive and totally sweet-looking. Fun. Plus the music pumps you up, and you could feel that she and Mark were pretty pumped, too. Nice job, but this number might not be enough to save them in the long run.
It was a really cool routine, and they both did a great job - especially that over the head move! I really agree with Nigel...Comfort does much better with the routines than the solos. I rarely enjoy her solos...
Her solo's are just her hopping around the stage, really. So, I hear you on that...but despite this number, I still don't see either of these two lasting too much longer. Up next is Chelsia and Joshua doing an Argentine Tango from season two contestant Dmitry!
At the beginning, it felt like Joshua just stood there and helped Chelsie keep her balance while she did all the work! But after a few seconds, things got good.
This was a fun routine for the two of them. It was very technically hard, and I could see them concentrating...but it was still enjoyable to watch
I thought it was pretty cool, dogg. I think the good chemistry and some really
impressive fast footwork moments made that impressive.
That would have been an easy routine to trip over each others' feet, so I can understand the concentration. It was indeed enjoyable. This round, I can't say any couple did a bad job. This show may be relying heavily on tonight's solos to call a Bottom 4.
Yeah, this round was really good, I agree. We should probably wait till the end to make a judgement call.
I'm actually with you, girls. This round was very good. I actually enjoyed parts of it. And with the performances so far it's too tight to call any eliminations yet. The solos suck, though. I think they're (and I can't believe I'm actually saying this...) too short. There are very few things that I can totally get into in a minute, much less a dance solo that's only that long. I can't believe that these are what people vote on. It'd be easier to vote on their shoe size or their hairstyle than their solo dance moves that can be showcased in that amount of time. Sheesh. What a show.
There's a lot going on, and a lot of hot Wills to check out. If you don't like the short dances, maybe you'll like one of the longer ones? I think that variety is part of what makes the show fun. You never really know what's coming each week.
Dare I say, unlike American Idol!
Now, now. Watch it picking on Idol, Daphne. You're outnumbered by Idol Experts, this week!
Yeah, but YOU'RE still out numbered by people who think David Cook sucks!
OOOOOH, true! Ha ha.
UGH...you guys leave him alone! He's great and he won, get over it!!
Actually, though, Daphne has a point. Idol IS really predictable. But at least you know what you're getting into.
We'll have to watch the solos in slow-motion for you, Artie.
I think this show's already too long as it is, dogg.
Well, this next dance should be interesting. Courtney and Will are back doing a slow Hip Hop routine!
I think Courtney and Will connected a lot better with this routine! I really felt like they missed/loved each other.
It helped to know the story behind that dance, because without it, I would have thought it was just ok. But knowing the story made it... Oh no. Wait. I still think that was just ok. Nothing explosively awesome about that one. Just pretty good. And yeah, their "connection" was still pretty strong throughout, so good for them.
I thought it was another good one from Will and Courtney! I cannot say that they that they connected better, because I thought they had a nice connection the first round. But I could feel the emotion, and they did a great job with that. Katee and Twitch came to the stage next with a Broadway number.
That was so much fun!
Poor Katee has been chasing Twitch all night, and I think she finally got him there at the end.
These are two great dancers to watch, you really see their joy in dancing - and a little bit of each of their moves...I think he let her catch him!
Here is what amazes me. Last year they sent Hok through over Twitch, and I think Twitch is proving to be a much better dancer than Hok. These two are both amazing dancers!
Seriously, that's a good point...I think Hok is actually a better hip hop dancer...but Twitch dances everything else better.
Yes...Twitch has been great at just about everything thrown at him. And let's not get too gushy over Twitch...because Katee almost lost her spot this year, and I am so glad she didn't because she is just wonderful, as well.
Really? Am I the only one that thought that was kinda lame? I mean...the lift was kinda cool, but the rest was boring. This is the first time I've seen Twitch perform and I've not been overly impressed by his moves. Sorry, dude. Oh...and I have no idea who Hok is and I find myself being totally ok with that.
True, true. Well, Mark and Comfort are up next doing the foxtrot...can they keep up the good work?
I think Mark handled that better than Comfort...but it wasn't great for either.
Yeah, I agree with Nigel on the "Lady Luck" comment...they didn't have any getting this routine, and I think they'll be packing their bags this week.
I'm going against the grain here and I'm gonna say that I thought that was pretty good, even if some of the footwork was kinda sloppy. For the most part, I thought that decent. I think they pulled it off relatively well, especially considering who they are and what most people think of their chances. I don't, however, think that was good enough to keep them safe.
Agreed..but we thought they were going home last week and we were very wrong. Chelsie and Joshua closed out the night with a disco number from Doriana Sanchez!
That was a suuuuuper-hard routine, but really cool for disco.
I like disco. That looked hard, but I don't think any of it really flowed together, and disco is all about being smooth. So I don't know if that was all that great. It was good-ish, but I wasn't feelin' it. Props for not droppin' the cute chick on her head at the end, dude.
Okay...they had some amazing lifts and there were a lot of hard moves. But, it seemed like there were a couple little, tiny hiccups going on, and it may be my least favorite number of the night...after the foxtrot from Comfort and Mark. But this isn't exacly a bad thing. There was a lot of tough competition tonight. I mean, Chelsie is a brave girl for some of those lifts!
Joshua's strength was impressive, and Chelsie has some guts to let him toss her around!
I know I would have been terrified flying high above Joshua's head.
This is how not-tuned-in I am to the world of dancing. I thought the foxtrot was better than the disco, and I didn't really like any of the second half performances. The people the judges said did well, I thought fell short, and the dances that they said were good, bored me. So what do I know? So, that being said, here is a prediction from a clueless dance blogger: Mark wanted to stay out of the bottom, but will probably find himself there anyway, and Comfort will find herself going home...again. Watch out, Chelsea...guard that leg, lest we see Comfort back again next week, Tonya Harding-style!
Ha ha, they better ALL watch their legs. If Comfort rises from the dead again, I don't even know what to think! Actually, I DO know what I think about what we saw tonight. Katee and Twitch were my favorite tonight, followed closely by Courtney and Will. Joshua and Chelsie are third, and that leaves Comfort and Mark dead last....I think these two are going home.
I think you and I are on the same page...again. But Chelsie and Joshua shouldn't feel bad, because they are miles ahead of Mark and Comfort.
For sure!
Pictured top row L-R: Chelsie Hightower, Joshua Allen, Will Wingfield, Katee Shean and Twitch Boss. Bottom row L-R: Courtney Galiano, Comfort Fedoke and Mark Kanemura.
That it for this week's show! Check back tomorrow for our thoughts on who went home, Danceheads!

Joss Whedon is reshooting the pilot to the upcoming FOX43 show Dollhouse. Retooling things is often a bad sign in television, but Mr. Whedon thinks it's for the best and will only make the premiere stronger.
Agree?
Disagree?
Are you interested in seeing this show?
Have you even heard anything about Dollhouse?!
Read on for more info on the reshoot.
In a post to the fan Web site Whedonesque.com, Mr. Whedon said that, while he’s happy with how the original pilot turned out, it wasn’t the perfect template to introduce viewers to ...
...his concept.
In a post to the fan Web site Whedonesque.com, Mr. Whedon said that, while he’s happy with how the original pilot turned out, it wasn’t the perfect template to introduce viewers to his concept.
Mr. Whedon said the decision to shoot a new first episode was entirely his own and said he’s not simply being “a good soldier” by making changes.
“The network truly gets the premise (this is a whole new crew, as you know), loves the cast, is excited about the show,” he wrote. “But they’re also specific about how they want to bring people to the show and I not only respect that, I kinda have to slap my forehead that I didn’t tailor my tone and structure to the network’s needs, since that’s something I pride myself on.”
Whether or not the show strikes a chord with fans remains to be seen, but at least we know the man behind the show - and cult hits like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly - will make sure Dollhouse is putting its best foot forward when it hits FOX43 this fall!
Dollhouse also marks Eliza Dushku's return to FOX43, after Tru Calling was cancelled way too soon a few years ago. (It was just hitting its stride!)
She's also a Buffy and Angel alum, meaning Whedon and Dushku fans have plenty to look forward to...

(NOTE: The encore episodes of Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?, previously announced for this night, will be rescheduled at a later date.)
We lost another two dancers, leaving us with eight. The show started out with a Bollywood number from Nakul Dev Mahajan and an announcement that the show has received four Emmy nominations this year. We also had a girls’ group contemporary number from Mia Michaels, and a guys’ group Broadway number choreographed by none other than Nigel Lythgoe. The bottom four came as no surprise with Comfort, Kherington, Mark, and Gev receiving the lowest number of votes. In the end it was Kherington and Gev who America decided to send home.
Well, it was a shocker tonight. Losing Kherington and Gev doesn’t really sit well with me. Gev did not deserve to go home what-so-ever. I don’t feel like Mark performed well last night, where as I found no fault with Gev. As for Kherington, well, based on last night alone, she deserved to leave. But based on the entire season, she was a better dancer than Comfort. But I am happy for Comfort, she came back by a stroke of luck and managed to win her way into another week on the show. I don’t believe it will last long though. I think her and Mark will be out the door next week. Yes, perhaps I am jumping to conclusions, but they are definitely the weakest of the dancers left. But I suppose we will find that out next week.
I really liked that they did another Bollywood type dance to start off the show. I enjoyed the other two group numbers choreographed by Mia Michaels and Nigel Lythgoe for the final five guys and girls, but I liked Mia’s routine better, it was very emotional. The guy’s routine was fun, but I didn’t really feel anything for it. The bottom two girls and guys was predictably Comfort and Kherington and Mark and Gev, but I was very surprised to see who went home. I think of all her solos she’s ever done (and it’s been a lot) I think this was Comfort’s best, but I still expected her to go home. Seeing Kherington dance her solo without much makeup really made me see how pretty she really is. Based solely on last night’s dancing I suppose Kherington was worse, but if she had gone up against Jessica instead of Comfort, she’d still be standing. Gev was also a big surprise; I really loved him as the underdog with great b-boy skills. He may have been carried a bit by his partners Courtney and Chelsie, but he still held his own, especially in some very impressive solos. Not that I wanted to see Mark leave, I just expected it, he’s not as likeable as Gev or the other guys.
Was not surprised either that all four were in the bottom. Comfort was voted off the week before, but this week she did pull off a great hip hop number with Twitch. The voters did speak and unfortunately, Gev was not voted for as much as everyone else. Kherington was definitely one of the dancers who messed up and broke the dance laws last night. Even though they did a great many number of performances throughout the beginning of the show, Daphne, some of these voters don't see the whole show, so they base it off of what they saw last night. Justice was served and once again we are a step closer to a winner this season. Once again this is Sgt. Tango on SYTYCD Blog, over and out!
Well this week is full of changes. First off we let all you Dance Fans know earlier this week to watch for the switch-a-roo when it came to Comfort and Jessica, so that shouldn’t have been too much of a surprise. This week also brings new partners for all the Top 10, and they’ll be doing solos as well. This week is all about the votes to keep individuals in the game, and we’ll be seeing a few new dances we’ve never seen before.
We also have a new judge on the panel tonight, Lil’ C joins Nigel and Mary, while we are once again joined by Sgt. Tango. I hope you’ll be an officer and a gentleman tonight.
Yes I am here to give my best on these dancers. Dont' worry, there are some really good dancers now. But it's up to the viewers now who wins!
Courtney and Joshua are the first new couple, and they're paired up this week to do hip hop.
That was awesome! it was so much fun! and the dancing was great too!
Joshua and Courtney’s dance was choreographed by Dave Scott, and I think it was border-line domestic abuse! Just kidding! They danced it ok, I think they could have done better at the dance even though they practically had half a week to get the dance down.
It is nice to see Courtney and Joshua working out so well together...it is a good sign for both of them
Oh yeah, it shows how strong they both are
And I like that Courtney is not a hip hop dancer, but she always does so well with the genre.
Nigel was nitpicking her just a bit...but Joshua was better
Of course, that is his genre.
Well it’s happen, Twitchington has been broken up, and Markington just isn't the same...but Mark and Kherington will show us their stuff in the two step
I'm not a big fan of the two step.
I'm not a big fan of Mark and Kherington together, they got some of the bigger moves down, but Kherington really looked lost on the floor sometimes
This is their first time on stage together, so I am not going to jump to conclusions yet. I think it was just so fast moving, and so many turns it was easy to get confused at sometimes.
Yeah, but she shouldn't have looked lost
It was sloppy like my last partner who messed up all the time! Come on! I have seen her do much better too!
Hold on you two, I am not saying it was good, but I am not going to say it was horrible. I wasn't happy with either Kherington or Mark on this one, but we have another one tonight and I am going to reserve judgement until then. Let's see how the next pair does, Comfort returns with Twitch this week, and they are stepping out with a smooth waltz
I wish they could have given them a hip hop routine instead of the smooth waltz, but they did a decent job. I think Comfort looked more comfortable coming back, but they both looked like they were faking it though.
I think that for the first time with Comfort we saw chemistry. And that was nice. I don't think they did as bad as a job as the judges are saying. but not another great one.
I think they did ok. They were too hard on them. But they need to step it up a little.
Well we've already see Joshua...so now we have his old partner Katee with her new partner Will....I think this is going to be great...doing a Tyce Broadway number.
To a Guys and Dolls number no less. That was indeed fun.
These two really met my and exceded my expectations, they had a cool routine, and they kept their dancing and acting skills high
Wow what a boat dance! Makes me want to get in mine! Really good Broadway.
It was Will and Katee, really I would have been shocked if it was bad.
And it's never a bad thing when Will takes off his shirt
No...no it is not. Can I just say that Will put your beloved David Cook to shame in the hotness and talent category?
Oh heck yes
Wow, I wasn't expecting you to agree.
David Cook is cute...but Will is HOT
Yes...Yes he is!
Alright ladies, I think that's about all the girl talk I can take, on to the next couple.
Ok ok, up next is Chelsie and Gev teaming up for a contemporary number.
I enjoyed that, i didn't love it, but i liked it a lot
Agreed.
Chelsie really impressed me with her emotion, Gev impressed me with his dance...but i don't think he commited emotionally
Gev was thinking too much! You need to feel the dance and follow the laws of the dance and then the dance will come out great!
I like the Otis usage. I liked Chelsie and Gev together. I do have to agree that Gev may not have been emotionally great. But the dance was executed well.
Ok at the end of the first round, i think Katee and Will are our strongest pair, Chelsie and Gev and Courtney and Joshua tie for second...Comfort and Twitch are somewhere in the middle, and I think Kherington and Mark are dead last
I have to agree with you on all points there.
I agree on Kherington and Mark in last and Katee and Will in first, but I think that Courtney and Joshua are better than Chelsie and Gev this round. So a tie seems irrelevant.
Courtney and Joushua are back to take on the Rumba
Wow wow wow that was hot
woah…that was amazing
Where is my glass of water? My my, these two need a room. I got a jail cell, but they don't deserve it after this dance. Half a dress again but I'll let this 311 slide this time.
Seriously they put the moves on eachother
They connected so well, and man the moves they did were amazing.
Joshua has awesome lifts, and Courtney kept her toes pointed
Kherington and Mark are back with a jazz Routnine. Let's hope they can impress this round.
That was fun, better than their first time out
Yeah they needed to impress...but i don't think they did. It was fun, and def better than their first one, but there wasn't anything to it that i loved
Yeah, it was just lacking. And I don't understand why. We had two people who have great personalities, and they danced it correctly....but it was lacking still.
They were a little flashy. They need some time in the interrogation room to see why they are not confident and comfortable in dancing together.
Thank god Comfort and Twitch are coming back with a Hip Hop routine....they need it...well at least Comfort does
That was definitely a good routine for them
I'm so glad they had a chance to dance Hip Hop together, they really challenged each other to do their best
This may be Comfort's redeeming factor tonight. This was very good for them.
What a performance! They didn't butcher it at all. Wow can't believe they turned it around this time around!
It def was, I think if she stays another week, it will be because of this routine
Katee and William are dancing a Pas De Deux to the guy who should have bee the winner of American Idol, David Archuleta.
Oh you don't want to get me started on Archie, that kid lost fair and square because Cook was the better Davie...ANYWAYS... i am excited to see Katee and Will dance a very technical routine
I don't see them dancing to a David Cook song...do you? anyway...Katee is so much better for Will than Jessica. Other than that small mess up, that was very well done
I'm going to ignore you now...the two of these dancers were magic dancing together, i'm going to forget about the one small mistake, because the rest was so impressive
Well, the mistake they did was so small, and they kept going, they didn't let it stop them. So it is an easy thing for everyone to overlook.
For some reason, almost everyone was good on the second half of the show. This was dancing! They followed all the dance laws. Great performance.
Yeah i actually think it wasn't wrong that they made the mistake, because otherwise the routine was so perfect, it was almost inhuman, but by making a small mistake it showed they were infallible which was nice to see. I wonder if Chelsie and Gev will end the show on a high note with a Jive
Well, if anyone was asleep, they sure got woken up by that one That was so filled with energy, and fun.
Was really good except Gev was pretty slow. All I got to say for Chelsie is that dress is very border line 311!
Oh yeah, they may not have been perfect, but i didn't care. These two were on fire with this dance
OK so my final call is Comfort leaving us again, although her Hip Hop routine was great, i'm not sure it's enough. If any other girl was to leave it would be Kherington, but I think her personality and skills will keep her safe at least one more week. On the boy side, I think Mark will leave, not because he isn't a good dancer, he's just not as likeable or as good as the other guys. My second pick would be Gev, but I think he'll be safe.
My bottom are Mark, Kherington, Gev, and Chelsie because even though Comfort did mess up some dance laws, she had a very entertaining solo, and hip hop routine. if anyone forgets those as compaired to Kherington's mess-ups they need some lock-down time!
Well, I think Mark is the guy leaving us, with Gev in bottom 4. As for the girls it will be either Comfort or Kherington. Kherington had a worse night then Comfort, but Comfort has already been sent home once. It could go either way, but I am thinking Comfort will be sent off again. So once again, Julie you and I are on the same page. Maybe I should pull a Clyde and make some ridiculous predicition just for the heck of it.
Hey go ahead, I'm sure Sgt. Tango will
Okay, here goes. David Cook and Mary Murphy will be sent home tomorrow night. Ridiculous enough for you?
Nah, David Cook will never be sent home...he's the American Idol....and he will be forever in the history books....Archie will be a forgotten has been never was...and I say him and Simon will go home
Now that is absolutely CRAZY....Simon will so stay....But Maybe Nigel should worry.
Yeah ok, he doesn't do the nasty brit thing half as good
Confused anyone? What a mess! See you tomorrow!
Agreed. Anway, that is all for tonight Danceheads! Tune in tomorrow night for the results show, and see if Nigel stays or goes.

Top 10 contestant Jessica King has left SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE due to an injury. As the most recently eliminated semifinalist, Comfort Fedoke rejoins the competition immediately to compete as one of the Top 10 dancers on the two-hour performance show Wednesday, July 16 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
“I would like to say how sorry I am that Jessica cannot continue dancing in the competition at the advice of her doctor. Her full recovery is paramount and will only come with rest. We are fortunate that Comfort has agreed to rejoin the competition and know that under the circumstances she has Jessica's full support,” said executive producer/judge Nigel Lythgoe.
Beginning next week, America’s votes solely determine who stays in the competition and who goes home. Fedoke joins previously announced finalists Joshua Allen, Twitch Boss, Courtney Galiano, Chelsie Hightower, Mark Kanemura, Gev Manoukian, Kherington Payne, Katee Shean and Will Wingfield when the Top 10 are paired with new dance partners and perform as new couples on the two-hour performance show.
The following night, America’s votes will be revealed, and two more dancers will go home on the live results show Thursday, July 17.

In their efforts to please Chef Ramsay and their customers, only one proved to be the best in the competition, Christina.
She now gets a free restaurant fully furnished and operational.
(Now she just has to beat the new Hell's Kitchen game that comes out soon!)
We’re down to the Top 10 dancers. These are the lucky ones that will be going on the road around the country. We started off the show with a Hip Hop routine choreographed by Napoleon and Tabitha. Nigel updated us about the battle challenge. Phillip Chbeeb has agreed to battle Robert Muraine in the finale, so that should be interesting. We also had a performance by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (as if we don’t get to see enough guys dance with their shirts off already) and Katy Perry sang her hit “I Kissed a Girl”.
The bottom three consisted of Comfort and Thayne, Jessica and Will, and Kherington and Twitch. Comfort and Thayne were the couple that the judges decided would leave.
I would like to start off by saying that the fact that we will be getting a dance off between Robert Murain and Phillip Chbeeb during the finale is great! I am excited for that one. Onto the show, we had absolutely no surprises tonight. This was easily one of the most predictable shows so far this year. It is sad to see Comfort and Thayne go, but it was most definitely their time. I agree with Nigel saying he would have rather lost two girls and no guys tonight, because Thayne is a better dancer than Jessica, by far. But as the rules go, we had to say goodbye to someone. Unfortunately that had to be Thayne and Comfort.
Yeah we totally predicted the bottom three without much effort last night. And if was obvious before anyone did their solos that it was about time for Comfort and Thayne to make their departures. Comfort really through a lot of energy into her solo dance, but there wasn’t anything about it that blew me away. Twitch did a Hip Hop routine for his solo too, but it was amazing with the creativity and expression he gave to it. Thayne always seems to come alive with his solos, but his paired dances never seem quite right and that’s why he keeps ending up in the bottom three. His solo wasn’t bad by any means, but unfortunately when compared to Will and Twitch he couldn’t stand up.
Man... I guess you ladies can read this show like a book, huh? But then again, even I thought it was pretty obvious who was probably going home this week. But from here on in I think things will be a bit less predictable. Well... check that. For the girls, after Jessica hits the bricks, it's gonna be really tight. It's already tight for the guys, because, as Daphne said, Thayne was a better dancer than Jessica, but it turned out that he took the hit for the guys this week. So, I guess that's all I have to add from the "Outsider's POV" for this week on SYTYCD. I had fun again, and maybe I'll show my mullet again here on the blog with you two lovelies. But for now, Artie's outta here. Peace, dudes.

Hey Daphne...so I read the Blog from last week...you two were def playing nice alright
JULIE HEART! How dare you leave me alone with CLYDE!
You seemed to get along just fiiiine without me
Yeah...uh-huh. Last week totally wasn't the most painful moment of my life or anything.
Yeah right, OK. You guys were reminising about the old days and seemed to really enjoy eachother's company...maybe even a little too much...there was a lot of chit chat...and not a lot of dance chat
I tried...Dance, and not Clyde, is my thing. Clyde is the one who decided to embarrass me, and make a fool out of himself. I'd much rather talk about dance. So how about we get to it?
Yes I do agree. This week we're down to six couples and the top few are neck and neck. I think there's still room to ween out a couple of less than impressive dancers, but we're getting down to the nitty gritty. Mia Michaels is joining the judging table, and we're joined by Artie Funk.
Hey hey hey! Artie's in the house with some lovely ladies! I'm ready to watch some DANCIN'!! Let's get to it!!!
Once again, all the couples will be dancing twice this week, and Chelsie and Mark are up first with the spicy Salsa!
Dancing twice makes for a quick and busy show
It shouldn't be as quick as last weeks show though.
Best of the night, easily! Of course it's the FIRST of the night, but, the dancing was great. Now, if only ALL of the dances tonight could be that good, I'd stay interested for a good long while.
Wow Chelsie looks hot, and Mark's not looking too bad either
I'm sure Artie is liking what he sees.
Yeah, ladies... I'm likin' what I see. Chica looks muy caliente! And this salsa is tight, sexy, and off the hook.
Well, what can I say? These two are fantastic. Definitely one of the best couples. And this dance was hot. I love my salsas.
Oh yeah Chelsie really had this routine down, and wow what a half a dress
They are a fan of those half dresses this season
They're obviously not Salsa dancers, but they did a great job fooling us
Next up we've got new couple Thayne and Comfort doing Hip Hop...these guys really need a great night to keep out of the bottom three
Comfort should be comfortable with hip hop...but lets see how Thayne handles it.
Well he's a lot better with her than Chris was doing Krumping...but I don't know if i see the chemistry between them
Thayne handled that well. But i do think Comfort and Thayne aren't meshing as well as I wished they would.
Yeah i was hoping they'd do better together
The dance was okay, but I'm with you girls on the lack of chemistry between these two. They did pretty well for this being their first routine together. But the more I think about it, the less I liked their performance. And I'm glad she mouthed the word "married" at the end of the dance...otherwise the narrative of the dance would have been confusing. Oh...and I found out that there was a narrative in that dance and the ending was dumb.
It is ashame because they are both brilliant dancers
Yeah, but i'm guessing this is going to be their last week
Unless another couple crashes and burns tonight.
True true
I didn't think that was horrible enough to get them booted, but maybe I need to realize that this is the Top 6, so these kids really need to bring it.
William and Jessica are up next with a Contempory routine,,,and William is missing his shirt again...Thank you Tyce
Here's another couple that needs a good routine...but maybe another SHIRTLESS routine will be enough!
This kind of dance is not quite my cup of tea. Sure, I can appreciate the strength and control it takes to do these moves, and the passion the performers have, but I'm rarely ever "moved" by this kind of dance. That being said, I thought it was okay.
You can really see his strength will how easilly he picks her up and moves her in the air
I believe that this may have been Jessica's best performance. She seemed to be more comfortable with it.
Some smooth moves in there, but some of the interaction seems somewhat clunky. I'm getting that the dude has been totally better than the lady in this couple, but I didn't really see it that way just now... Interpret that however you want to.
Oh def Jessica's best routine, they really connected with eachother, but i thought this was the first time Will didn't outshine her like he has in the past
I knew Jessica had it in her. And I am glad she finally let us see it.
Courtney and Gev are up next doing the Cha-cha-cha, and we've got Pasha and Anya back to choreograph
Wow!! That was awesome!!
As always (with the Cha-Cha-Cha), I enjoyed that. I think Courtney and Gev are great together.
Yo. Hot, fast-moving brunettes are totally my thang, and that makes this dance totally my thang.
Oh yeah, chemistry out the wazoo and that routine was hot hot hot
That is what makes the Cha cha so great! It is hot! And Courtney and Gev make it hotter.
That was fun to watch, for a number of different reasons, but mostly because they can both move. That was at least as good as the salsa from earlier. Awesome.
I really really hope the audience keeps them out of the bottom three.
Me too! America don't fail us! Kherington and Twitch are hitting the stage next with the Krump!
Twitch was definitely the shining star of that one, but I think Kherington held her own.
yeah it was cool, but i was really hoping for a big move in this routine. Kherinton held her own till the middle/end and then she lost it a little bit, it looked like she was getting worn out, but at least she kept the cool serious face throughout though
Alright...I gotta disagree with you two, but first I gotta say that I have no idea what the heck that was all about. I've heard of Krumping, but I'd never seen it done before. Whatever it was, it was fun to watch.
Well it was fun to watch, that was obvious, but we've seen Krump's before and this wasn't really impressivel. Kherinton did that so much better than Chris ever did though.
Ohmigod yeah, he was a joke with the krump
I can't believe you were worried that Kherington wouldn't be able to pull this off? Seriously? Cuz I thought she stole the show and was oozing her gangsta all over the stage. Oh...and those leather pants were definitely nice. That was good stuff.
You're just gonna have to trust us that Twitchington have done much better than that Krump, and I hope you'll get a chance to see that with their second dance but now onto Katee and Joshua. They have what sounds like an interesting version of the Viennese Waltz.
That was beautiful. Jean-Marc Genereux comes up with the most beautiful numbers.
I really enjoyed that, i loved how it started with the ghost thing of her dancing with but without him, and all the lifts were great
Hmm. That was pretty cool. I liked that more than the contemporary dances we've seen. Pretty smooth and elegant, but fast at the same time, which kept my attention. As did her classy but very perty outfit...
The judges are being a lil tough on them...this could put them in danger
The judges are telling joshua that he was "Clumsy" and i can't really say I agree...but that is really because i was watching mostly Katee through that dance. She was amazing!
My rankings for the first half of the show, from best to worst, are as follows: Salsa, Cha-cha, Krump, Waltz, Contemporary, Hip-hop.
And with their NAMES Artie, I think that Chelsie and Mark, Courtney and Gev, and Katee and Joshua are the front runners right now. I know my beloved Kherington and Twitch are not my favorites tonight!
I pretty much agree with your top three couples, but i feel like Jessica and Will really made headway tonight with their first dance. I think they could knock one of the top couples out of their spot
Agreed, lets see what happens this time around. On to round two, Chelsie and Mark are back with a Tyce Diorio Broadway number.
Oh boy, Chelsie really let Mark have it in that Broadway number
Nice! Chelsie was AWESOME!
Sure. That was a Broadway dance. Lotsa energy, way to stay in character and beat the living snot outta your partner. And the moves from both of them were pretty much on all the way through. Nice job.
Seriously, i love her, she's a little firecracker. Mark did a good job too....but you couldn't keep your eyes off her
I love these two. Amazing how I wanted them in the bottom three the first week! How wrong was I?
Comfort and Thayne are back again for a Mandy Moore Contemporary number
Let’s hope they destory with this one, or we can pretty much say goodbye awhile
I totally agree with Nigel saying that he'd rather see someone else dance this routine i loved the dance, it was amazing, but neither one of them seemed really into it or each other
It was like watching a pair of dancing robots.
No, Daphne...dancing robots would have been totally awesome and exciting to watch. This, however, was boring.
Yeah, again dancing on sleeping pills
They did the movements, but there just wasn't any emotion there.
Clyde said that Comfort is nothing more than a prop, and he's totally right. I know you both hate hearing that, but it's true...especially this time.
Actually I agree this time, Thayne did a good job, and i think Comfort held him back a little, but these guys are going home...
Yeah, Bye bye Thayne and Comfort. Will and Jessica are doing the Quickstep next.
Ooooh nooo the dreaded Quickstep....this could be bad
Can I say Barry Manilow is a much better music choice than Phil Collins for the Quickstep!
Well it was a fun little routine, i'm not sure what mary will say on the technical stuff though
The Quickstep, eh? That was kinda fun...a little awkward on that look at each other and shake our heads move, but other than that, it was okay. The chick looks like she's dragging the guy down a bit, but both of them made this performance just okay.
I got it Jules! Will reminds me of a HOT version of Cuba Gooding Jr!
Lol I so see that! especially when he smiles! And it was so sweet that he stood up for Jessica when Mia bashed her a bit....but her days really are numbered
As for Dancing, I am sure he blows Cuba out of the water, as he does with Jessica. It is true what Mia said...Harsh, but true
Ok ladies enough about the Cuba wannabe, Courtney and Gev are up next doing a Jazz number next.
Courtney kicked Gev's butt there, didn't she?
Neat routine. Lotsa fun, very energetic, tight moves, cool lift. I disapprove of the Indiana Jones theme, trying to cash in on the trend, but if that's all I can find to complain about, then I think they're doing fine.
That was great, I think they're my fav couple of the night so far, they have such a great connection between them
They are a lot of fun! They are so cute together.
Kherington and Twitch are back now with the Tango!
That was fun to watch, but i feel like they could have done a better job
I totally agree. I liked that, but I think they could have poured it on a bit stronger, to be honest.
I think Kherington did better in this round than Twitch. It seemed like the "fight" part was lacking.
They were just a bit too stiff, i think Kherington had better emotion, and Twich was more precise with the steps
The first part was very nice...I liked the first part.
It was really good, don't get me wrong, but I think, especially coming from these two, it could have been knocked outta the park. Instead, it was just a triple. Decent dance.
This could be the first time these two are in the bottom three...they are such a loveable couple though...i wonder if that will be enough
I am disappointed in these two tonight. But I do still love them, and I think they will be back next week whether they make it into the bottom three or not.
Katee and Joshua are closing the night with the first Bollywood dance we've seen on the show
This sounds interesting.
Yo! Bollywood? Awesome! I'm intrigued now. I dig me some Indian culture, so I hope this doesn't disappoint...
I liked that! No no...I loved that.
Oh that was so cool, i'm really impressed with them throwing in a dance from the Indian culture, and they really pulled it off
YO!! THAT WAS BADA**!! If they had Bollywood dances every week, I would watch that show ALL THE TIME. They totally nailed those moves. It was fun to watch and it was hard not to get into it. So catchy and great. Awesome addition to the show, and these two kids totally got it right. Dogg.
I love that style. I have always enjoyed dancing from India. But i was really impressed by that. And on top of the style, I think Katee and josua did fantastic with that!
Joshua and Katee knocked that out of the park, they really had fun and i loved it
Alright, I think this round ends the same as the first. Katee and Joshua, Courtney and Gev, and Chelsie and Mark are the best of the bunch tonight. That leaves Kherington and Twitch, Will and Jessica and Thayne and Comfort in the bottom three.
Yeah Jessica and Will went back down, Kherington and Twitch stayed down, and Thayne and Comfort have to go home...they've been saved one too many times
Round Two was not as good as Round One, overall. But my rankings for Round Two are: Bollywood, Jazz, Tango, Quickstep, Broadway, Contemporary.
Once again Artie NAMES... that means Thayne and Comfort, just like all the other dancers in this competition are amazing dancers, but they just aren't doing their best anymore.
Well that's what this competition is all about, we're looking for the best most versitle dancers....and it's just not them Good times again, ladies... Sorry I'm not quite as interesting a guest-blogger as Clyde is, but I do have the fun when I stop by.
Oh Artie, we enjoyed your company as always, and we're just as happy if not more so to have you visit the blog.
You got that right Julie. Well, tomorrow night we find out who the top 10 is. So, until then Dance Heads, send your comments and let us know what you think!
Video Game Based on FOX’s Hit TV Show Features Virtual Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay
SAN FRANCISCO—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Today Ubisoft announced that it will publish Hell’s Kitchen™: The Video Game, for Wii™, Nintendo DS™, PC and Mac®. Developed by Ludia, Hell’s Kitchen: The Video Game is based on the U.S. hit FOX television program from Granada America featuring world-renowned Chef Gordon Ramsay. The game will allow players to experience the show’s high-pressure kitchen and dining room challenges as a faithfully rendered 3D Chef Ramsay watches their every move.
“I had a great time doing the voice for my own animation,” said Gordon Ramsay. “Being in a video game is a new experience for me and I’m very pleased with the results.”
After executing the three phases of an order – preparation, cooking and service – Chef Gordon Ramsay will score each meal. As they progress through the game, players will be rewarded with access to recipes from Chef Ramsay’s own repertoire.
“Hell’s Kitchen has everything a great video game needs: pressure, excitement and intense competition,” said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft North America. “We are very excited to be bringing the intensity of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and the Hell’s Kitchen experience to the virtual world this fall.”
Hell’s Kitchen: The Video Game will be released worldwide September 2008.
Key Features:
Chef Ramsay watches players’ every move and judges them as they progress by yelling at them, praising them or shutting down the kitchen if their skills don’t meet his expectations.
As players progress, they’ll gain access to authentic Gordon Ramsay recipes, including many that are offered exclusively to game owners.
In Career Mode, players can earn stars to build their way up from a Single-Star restaurant to a prestigious Five-Star establishment. As the player advances through the ranks, their star rating advances and the recipes become more varied and intricate.
In Arcade Mode, the pressure builds as customers become increasingly demanding. Players will be challenged to keep up with the pressure before time is up, or Chef Ramsay loses patience and closes the kitchen.
WEB search and advertising company Google has signed a deal with Seth MacFarlane, 34, creator of the Fox animated TV show Family Guy to produce short cartoons for the web.
Google spokesman Daniel Rubin announced this week the cartoons will be paired with Google's AdSense advertisements placed on targeted websites, and will also be available on the Google-owned video-sharing site YouTube.
The series, titled Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy, will consist of 50 clips no longer than two minutes.
Each clip will have a variety of short ads embedded in them, with MacFarlane receiving a percentage of ad revenue.
MacFarlane is one of the highest-paid talents in TV after this year signing a deal reported to have been worth at least $100 million with 20th Century Fox TV, a unit of News Corp.
While the internet has many players producing content exclusively for the web, it has few creators with the production budget and pay scale MacFarlane is accustomed to.
Major entertainment companies have increasingly tried to expand into the web in recent years.
In 2005, News Corp bought US social networking site MySpace for $580 million, and it has since rolled out different versions in other countries.
Last year, NBC Universal, which is operated by General Electric, teamed up with News Corp to found Hulu.com, a site that relies on advertising to bring users free episodes of their favourite shows on the internet.
While relying on advertising to underwrite the cost of programming has worked on TV since its inception, the approach is still meeting with mixed results online.
In another high-profile initiative, Sony Pictures Entertainment, a unit of Sony Corp, this week announced plans to make the Will Smith action film Hancock available online to owners of the web-connected Sony Bravia TV before the movie goes out on DVD.
In doing so, the studio will change, albeit slightly, the traditional distribution chain of motion pictures.
After their initial run in cinemas, movies are typically released on pay-per-view television services, then via DVD, internet downloads or streams, and finally on free broadcast TV.
The new initiatives highlight how old media is using the internet as a critical tool for reaching customers.
Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy will launch in September.
FOX Sports will be providing a taped feature to run within your news programming every Saturday night leading up to the 2008 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, Tuesday July 15th from Yankee Stadium. The segment will be hosted by MLB on FOX studio host Jeanne Zelasko who will provide the latest details concerning FOX Sports' coverage of the All-Star Game Red Carpet Parade Presented by Chevrolet and the 2008 All-Star Game.
This week’s piece will focus on the parade. Coverage begins at 7:00 PM ET. The parade, which takes place in mid-town Manhattan, and pre-game ceremony at Yankee Stadium, feature the greatest collection of Major League Baseball Hall-of-Famers ever assembled. Some of the legendary names already scheduled to appear include:
After a long, holiday weekend...the SYTYCD Blog is BACK! Daphne and Clyde are here to comment on the loss of two more dancers, leaving us with just twelve. The show started out with a Tyce Diorio Broadway group number. We had a performance from the unbelievable Robert Muraine, and One Republic performed their song "Say (All I Need)". The bottom three consisted of Kourtni and Matt, Courtney and Gev, and Comfort and Thayne. In the end Kourtni and Matt packed their bags and went home.
Robert Muraine...Every time I see this guy I sit there, with my hand over my mouth saying "This guy is insane!" "SO AWESOME!" I am so glad he returned, and I like Nigel's idea of a dance off between him and Phillip Chbeeb. That would be the event of the summer! As for the bottom 3, I was very upset to find Courtney and Gev in there, but very happy that they were safe in the end. I completely agreed with the judges decision (once again) of Kourtni and Matt. I am happy to know that Kourtni did receive Nigel's vote in the end, because she really is an extraordinary dancer. I really does hurt to see these people go now. We have unbelievably talented people in this competition and I hope every one of them succeeds in the world of dance.
Well, the 3 couples in the bottom were clearly weak. Kourtni and Matt, as I said the other night, are pretty much the epitome of annoying, and sum up everything that annoys me about dancers and about this bloody show. So, I certainly won't miss them. It was fun sitting in with Daphne and bickering for a while, but I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief that our friend Julie Heart will be back this week...along with some other guest blogger who isn't me. But, who knows? Maybe I'll pop up again sometime before the end of the season...
Whenever that is, it'll be too soon!
Right, right. As for Clyde...I think I'll be heading back out for some traveling, enjoy some more summer vacationing and rest up so I can rip people's heads off when American Idol comes back next season!
Running off again...are you ever going to grow up?!
Fat chance! We're square, now. I made my big, mushy apology...thought I owed you that much humiliation. But no way I'm giving up my hot, untamed Clyde Lifestyle after all these beautiful years!
I figured as much. Well, believe me, the further away you go, the happier I am...so good riddance!
Ho ho ho, aren't we just the funniest thing ever?
Heh, Clyde...all WE are is history. See you in a few days for this week's show, Dance fans!
Pictured top row L-R: Twich Boss and Mark Kanemura. Middle row L-R: Will Wingfield, Chelsea Hightower, Comfort Fedoke, Katee Shean, Jessica King and Joshua Allen. Bottom row L-R: Courtney Galiano, Kherington Payne, Gev Manoukian and Thayne Jasperson.
Hey, Dance fans. I have to admit, I'm starting to get a little worried...Julie's really late, and I have no idea if she lined up a guest blogger for tonight. I might have to do this all by myse --
Well, well, well...
Oh, no.
Oh, yes, Daph. I'm back, and it looks like it's just you and me, this week.
Hey, Clyde...sorry to no-show, but I'm REALLY not feeling well. I'm gonna' have to sit this one out this week, but I'm sure you and Daphne will be fine. Play nice...but not TOO nice, heee hee...(COUGH-HAAAAAAACK-COUGH!!!)...sorry. That was nasty. And, Daphne...you make sure you keep him in line, and keep the convo on dancing. Without even watching the show…I’m predicting the girl to leave as either Jessica or Comfort, and the guys as either Thayne or Matt. Try to have fun without me! I know it'll be hard, but you'll make it! I'll talk to you both (COOOOOOOUGHHHH!!!) later. Ugh.
No reason to worry about keeping you in line...I'm a big girl, and I'm not afraid of little old Clyde.
Oh, you have no need to be afraid. This'll be fun - just the two of us, like back in the old days.
Sure you're going to STAY the entire time, and not RUN OFF on me before the show's over?
Daphne, come on. That was years ago, and I know I was a jerk. Let's just get on with the show, and we can hash out the unresolved issues later?
Heh...fine, tough guy. Let's get started...we have two guest judges Tabitha and Napoleon. And, Clyde, you know what TWICE the guest judges means, right?
No, Daphne. Please, enlighten me.
Twice the dancing!
Oh, joy. I'd have to be here THIS week...
Well, it's actually a GOOD thing. I thought you'd be excited.
How so?
With each of the couples dancing twice tonight, this show is going to move fast!
Well, there's a win for everyone!
What IS it with you and dancers? Why do you hate on us so much?
Honey, I hate on everyone, not just dancers. And, as I've said before...it's a general ATTITUDE. It's how they take something so goofy so seriously. And, for the record, there's ONE certain dancer of whom I happen to still be very fond, so it's not fair to say I hate ALL dancers.
Oh, knock it off. That ship has sailed, Mr. Collins...you had your chance. And, Clyde, not everything's a big joke! Professional dancers like myself DO take it seriously, because we love it! Oh, and, "for the record," call me "honey" again and you'll have to be CARRIED out of here.
Yeesh. Err...moving on to Jessica and Will! Look, Daphne! Jive dancing! Let's get bloody SERIOUS about JIVE DANCING!
Heh....you just better be bloody paying attention, Clyde. Will is the perfect example of a REAL MAN. It might benefit you to take notes!
Oh, is that so? What's this "Will" kid have that I don't?!
Well, for one thing, he puts the right moves on ME every time!
OUCH! You're not playing nice at all, are you?
Just trying to live up to the high standard Julie Heart set during Idol Chatter!
Well, speaking of Idol, there's one thing I know we BOTH still agree on - David Cook winning was an absolute TRAVESTY.
Definitely! He was awful, I'm with you on that. But this is SYTYCD, so what do you think of Jessica and Will?
Will was far more crisp than his partner. He really pulled off the style well, with snappy movement...while it just served to point out how more sharper he is than Jessica. She's okay, but it almost looks like he's LITERALLY pulling her through some of the parts of the dance. When one dancer's better than the other, you can tell that the better is dancing circles around the worse dancer to try to pull the average up for the both of them. It was energetic, I love the song, but...like Fake Simon said, she's leaning on Will. With a less talented partner, she's S-O-L.
Wow. That was actually...insightful!
Of course it was. I never said I was incapable of watching dancers...I just said I don't particularly LIKE watching them. How about you, Daph?
Well, you CAN tell that Will is a better dancer than Jessica, but Jessica's dive over Will and coming up through his legs was cool. But it is obvious to everyone that Jessica is holding Will back. That has been obvious since week one, though!
I can't really comment on that, as I haven't seen these people since I sat in during the Charleston auditions...but I'm with you on Jessica being the weakest link in this duo. Getting two dances can go either way for them - either Jessica will step it up, or we'll be reminded further that Will's far superior.
Very true. Up next is Comfort and Thayne doing a Broadway number. This was their first time on stage as a couple, and it was most definitely my least favorite Broadway number of the season. Don't get me wrong, they danced it really well. It just didn't have the spark the other ones did. But like I said Comfort and Thayne danced it well, and the two do seem to work well together. I think this will be a better partnership than Chris and Comfort were.
There was no chemistry at all. Thayne didn't dance WITH Comfort...he danced around her, like a prop. I thought Comfort basically WAS a prop, here. The leg thread-through move was interesting, but nothing felt natural. Well, as "natural" as anything can feel in a cheesy Broadway routine. Yerk. Seriously, though...what did Comfort do, other than be the one dragged and flipped around? I'm with Fake Simon again...the chemistry wasn't there.
On stage next, we have Kourtni and Matt with Hip Hop. I hope these two can not only show the personality that I know they have, but their awesome dance abilities.
I gather that you're tired of just seeing "personality" out of these two, and are looking for a bit more depth?
No, these two aren't showing enough personality in their dancing, but I know they got it in them somewhere. At least I hope.
Ah, all cleared up. Well, for their part, I think the dance was okay. Once again, I'm going to proclaim the male dancer in the pair SHARPER in his movements. They weren't really in unison, but I have to say it was very nice of J.C. Chasez to lend Matt an outfit. Classy, that one.
I think the problem with these two is that they are so uncomfortable outside their own styles that it shows in their dancing. It was, like, they did the dance...and that was it. It wasn't as good as it could have been. They didn't have the big moves...and it was a little slow. Nigel said "hip hop on sleeping pills," and I think he was exactly right there.
It did feel a bit like it was underwater, really. We'll have to see if they can tread water a little better in their second routine.
Chelsie and Mark hit the stage next, with their first number now. They did a Jazz routine from Mandy Moore...and I didn't think it was as good as last week, but I liked it. These two are really growing on me fast. They looked like they were having a lot of fun tonight. I enjoyed it.
It was a fun and perky dance. Chelsie is so babyfaced - and Mark isn't much older-looking - that I started out thinking it looked a bit like two dancers who escaped from the Disney Channel. But as it went on, it got a bit naughty, and the flirtation, while CUTE, comes off a bit creepy because she's so young-looking. Like, it feels wrong finding her attractive, because she could easily be 15. But, you know...it was the first dance that really made me want to watch the entire time. My favorite of the night, so far. Playful.
Let's see if Kherington and Twitch can top these two this week. They are stepping out with a Paso doble.
I'm sorry, I missed all that. I was too busy laughing at the dumb matador costumes and the dippy cape dancing bit in the beginning. I didn't like this at all, just too goofy for me. I wasn't sucked into the dance at all, it was just so...dumb. They looked ANGRY at each other, not passionate.
Woah, we've got a BIG disagreement, here! It is obvious that I am not the only person who loves them...the crowd is going crazy for them. Wow! These two have such energy that they can pull this kind of dance off! They were AWESOME!
HUH? WHEN?! Was it during the times I blinked? I wasn't into it at all.
It wasn't that they nailed it technically, they are just good performers and that is what made it awesome.
All that says to me is that, had this been two other dancers, it would've been EVEN LAMER.
Whatever, Clyde. I thought it was good. Next up, we've got Katee and Joshua, doing a contemporary piece from Mia Michaels.
Why don't you go first, this time?
Sure. First, I want to say I hate Katee's hair like that. Now, with that out of the way, I liked the dance....didn't love it though. They had some really awesome moves in there, and they danced it very well. It was one of those moments where the only thing that i didn't love about the dance was parts of the choreography. Clyde?
I'd like to start by saing that Katee's hair is terrible. I'm SO not into this kind of thing. Their movements were just weird-looking. It was so slow in parts it looked like a montage of still pictures of two dancers. Problem is, that wasn't what they were going for. Her movements look really awkward. I just couldn't help but yell, "DO IT, SEAL! DANCE HER BACK TO LIFE!" Or...whatever this was supposed to be about. Why was Joshua so WINDED after that? Aren't these people PRO dancers? Shouldn't they have a bit more stamina than this? I know it takes a lot out of you, but...they're TRAINED to do this stuff.
They were basically RUNNING AROUND, Clyde! You think YOU could do better?
Well, I'm not a dancer. But, here's an example. A while ago, I took up Cycling. I was winded and beat after just a few minutes in the beginning...but, a few months later, I'd built up some STAMINA, and I can make it up a steep hill without sounding like a 400-pound man with collapsed lung running a marathon! You'd think that DANCERS who have been dancing all their lives might be able to dance for a few minutes without looking like they're about to DIE afterwards! That's all.
Well, now we have another Hip Hop routine, by Courtney and Gev. Want to take the first swing at this one?
Seeing the jerseys made me think about how I'd love to see the CG robot NFL on FOX uses going into commercial doing this dance. It was interesting. Not a lot of interaction...aside from high-fives and some face-buster thing into Courtney's knee at one point, I don't see why this was a couples dance. They weren't terrible, wasn't a bad routine. It just seems that the girl was better for the first time tonight, ha ha.
I thought Gev would do well with hip hop. But honestly, Courtney owned that. She did really well with this one. This style suited her, more than it suited the other Kourtni. I enjoyed that one.
Well, I guess this is the end of the first round?
I think in my mind, Kherington and Twitch, Courtney and Gev, and Chelsie and Matt are the front runners. Let's see what round two has in store, and if Jessica and Will, and Kourtni and Mark can redeem themselves.
I was instantly turned off by the use of "Alone," the WORST Heart song. Ugh. The passion was there a little more this time, I'll say. Jessica didn't do much to save herself...and Will continued to show that he's much better. I didn't much enjoy it, because it felt a bit 80's and overly emotional. Like I was stuck watching some terrible Bollywood-meets-Molly Ringwold movie, or something. I wasn't a big fan, but any fool can see Will's the standout of this pair.
Clyde, there is no such thing as a bad Heart song! You are just trying to be mean to me now. And Molly Ringwald in anything is just AWESOME! As for the dancing, they did much better this time, with Lyrical Jazz. Well...I should say Jessica did much better this time, Will is consistently great. I'm with you, Clyde...Jessica is still not on the same level as Will though. And my oh my...Will gave us ladies a treat tonight. That guy can dance shirtless any day.
I'll admit, he makes me want to give up on working out. Like the same way Jimi Hendrix makes you want to put down a guitar and never look at it again. Anyway, let's move on to Comfort and Thayne and their Smooth Waltz.
Smooth was the key word here. That was so nice. Comfort looked lovely. I really am happy to see her and Thayne together. They are working out so well.
It was...slow. I guess it was good? I don't know, it's not really my style. It was definitely better than their first dance, but...I don't know. Comfort actually DANCED this time, rather than just exist around her partner. These two aren't my favorites.
Well, maybe Kourtni and Matt will pull you back in with their Mambo. This is Kourtni and Matt at their best so far this season.
It looked like Kourtni was having fun with it. Although I didn't feel the spark was there between the two. I guess I should be used to that, right Clyde?
Now, now. I seem to recall there being QUITE a spark between the two of us. Don't pretend we didn't have something good, Daph. We were a couple for 4 and a half years...and I KNOW you enjoyed every second.
EASY, there! I was just joking. Of course we had our fun.
Oh, yes we did. Anyway, I wasn't a fan of this dance, actually. The spark WASN'T there. Actually, I think MY problem with these two is their personalities...especially Kourtni. Her personality is the REASON that I don't like 99% of the dancers in the world. She's obnoxious, and clearly thinks she's better than she really is. Her partner's still slightly better, but...nope, wasn't feeling this one. More energy, but this show's LOSING ME! COME ON, SOMEONE! PULL ME BACK IN!
Chelsie and Mark try to do just that next, with the foxtrot! Apparently, Chelsie is quite at home with it...
Just a note to all this kiddies out there - when you have a chance to dance to Paul Anka, grab that chance! Why? Paul Anka is the man, THAT'S why.
Chelsie should win the season. She's fun and young and peppy. There, I said it. Based on this ONE show, this is the best and most exciting couple. Mark looks a bit like Pete Wentz, which is a problem for me. But, otherwise, I enjoyed it more than the last few dances. Wasn't perfect, didn't LOVE it, but...good enough.
I think what our untrained friend Clyde is trying to say is that you can tell Chelsie is a pro at the foxtrot. And Mark seemed to fit into it very nicely too. In the past two weeks these two have become one of my top three couples.
Top 3 couples? Out of what, SIX?! Yeah, that's going out on a limb, Daph. Hey, quick, pick your three favorite Beatles, why you're at it.
Very funny, Clyde. And there are SEVEN couples.
Kherington and Twitch are up next. Let's see if they can wow us with routine number two.
My favorite Mia Michaels number this season! That was wonderful. I hate always having to say that I love Kherington and Twitch, because I really feel biased, but they really are amazing. It is no secret these two are my favorite and they continue to prove why every week!
Was she really dancing...or just bouncing around and throwing flowers? I don't know. It was a scene, but...I don't know, didn't seem so much like dance. If this were So You Think You Can Do Performance Art Pieces?, I'd be all for it. Great abs on Twitch, which I'm gathering is a big part of this show. Clearly, they were selling chemistry this time. And I think Fake Simon and Mia Michaels were trying to steal our thunder, Daphne.
What?
You know, him joking about how this was inspired by their relationship and all that.
Oh, I see. Well, our thunder stopped rolling a long time ago, so that's fine with me. But anyway...I'm still loving this dance. It was great!
It was definitely memorable, I'll give it that. And it seemed to get fans of the show all hopped-up, so...must've done what they needed to do out there with their "contemporary" routine. Whatever that means. I guess, when it comes to THIS show, it means anything that isn't a Broadway musical from the 1950's.
Katee and Joshua are doing the West Coast Swing next choreographed by the one and only Benji!
Yay! Go, Benji, go! I LOVE that little dog!
Clyde, I'm...not even going to comment! Katee's hair is much better now. There were a few moments there where I had to stop and say "woah that was cool". Benji came up with a great routine! That was a lot of fun.
That was pretty good. Started off kind of lame for me, but got better. They're very sassy, but not in a horrible way. I'm gathering that the fan-favorite dances are the ones that contain the most simulated sexual intercourse? Seems to be the pattern.
Clyde! Dance IS sexy, that passion is just part of it!
Sometimes, sure. But I've noticed you really liked the ones that were more...naughty. Shall I call the psychiatrist? Maybe get to the bottom of that?
For YOUR sake, I won't comment on that. Let's just move on to our LAST dance of this action packed night - Courtney and Gev, with another Broadway number!
Blurg.
Stay with me, Clyde. Just ONE MORE, you can do this! I liked this one much more than Comfort and Thayne's broadway number! But once again, I think Courtney out shined Gev, but that doesn't mean he did a bad job. I think Courtney and Gev are on fire tonight!
If by "on fire" you mean "totally weak," I'm with you. It was technically okay, I guess. I was just bored the whole time. Broadway isn't my style, I guess. I mean, why was Courtney so worried about being from New York, but having to play the tourist? Where did that even COME IN?! She had to pretend to look surprised and amazed on occasion? Oooh, scary. Big challenge, I'm sure. It just kind of happened, I don't know. Forgive me if I can't connect with people wearing goofy get-ups like that and dancing to something so old-fasioned. It'd be a great performance...if they were in high school.
Oh, please. Clyde, you still don't get what's so great about dance, do you? So end of round two, and I think Kherington and Twitch, Chelsie and Mark, and Courtney and Gev walked away the winners again. That leaves me with four couples to choose from for the bottom three this week. Katee and Joshua are safe. They weren't the best, but they were very good.
I was feeling Chelsie and Mark, even though I don't like Mark. Kherington and Twitch are OBVIOUSLY favorites, so they're safe. Katee's hair deserves to go home, but they're probably fine after that last dance. Courtney and Gev are going to be fine because I don't like them...so I'm sure they appeal to dance types. Who are the other couples?
That means Will and Jessica, Thayne and Comfort, and Kourtni and Matt are in my bottom three. I am going to say that Matt will be going home. And either Jessica or Kourtni will be the girl eliminated. I'd rather see Jessica go home, because she is really holding Will back. BUT, I don't think Kourtni would be able to keep up with Will either.
Call me when Twitch and Chelsie dance together, will you? Otherwise, you can hav the rest. Will was fine too, I suppose.
Oh, he's FINE, alright...
Calm down, Daphne. I believe Jessica and Matt should leave, though I despise Kourtni and I'm pretty sure Comfort isn't doing Thayne any favors.
Well, we'll see how our predictions go! Clyde and I will be back on Monday to give our thoughts on the results show...which, sadly, means this painful experience is being prolonged for a few more days! Hopefully Julie will be back with us next week...
I'm sure she'll pull through. You know, I kind of think she may have been FAKING her "awful cold" just to get the two of us alone together, again.
REALLY? No, Julie wouldn't do that to me.
Oh, Julie would. She LOVES good gossip, and I think she was trying to put us into this mess to see if we'd kiss and make up.
Heh...in your DREAMS, Clyde. And, remember, YOU were the one who left ME and went traveling around the world after school.
I know. Look, I know we've kind of been thrown back into each other's lives by this blog gig, but I do hope we can forgive and forget. I mean, I really did care for you, but...I just knew you'd be better off and find more success without me holding you back. And you've done very well!
Well, if we're going to do this HERE...yes, we BOTH have. You lucked into the music industry, I've gone on to dance and teach, so...can't say it didn't work out the way you planned.
Well, as we heard Heart sing ealier tonight...we've both had to do it "Alone." Sadly, that's my fault.
Eeew. I don't remember you being so SAPPY. And, you know, as close as we were...you went YEARS before you even so much as sent me a LETTER. That's the worst part, bud...you went and disappeared, just left me a crummy note and took off.
Yeah, I know...but, if it's any consolation, you know I've always cared for you very much. I mean, this is pretty embarrassing, but...I knew I'd be seeing you again this week, so...I dug this up from an old photo album.
Clyde...
Remember that trip? We had a great time. We always did, that's what you liked about being with me. I helped you lighten up and have fun, when you were busy STUDYING and practicing all the time. We had a good thing, and I gave that up. I'm not wrong very often, as my Idol Chatter fans know. But I'll admit it when I'm wrong about something...and I was wrong to do what I did, just running off on you. You deserve better, and I'm sorry.
I...we should...probably end this column before it gets even more awkward.
Oh, right. Right. It's been a REAL treat watching this goofy show with you. If it got us talking again, it was worth sitting through two hours of that mess. And we'll both give our thoughts on who went home and all that on MONDAY, after the big July 4th holiday weekend! Maybe Julie will even join us with HER reaction, too.
Yeah...we...um...wow. Hey, sorry to air this out in front of you, Dance fans. Hope you enjoyed the column, and the great night of dancing this week. See you next time.
I know you don't drink coffee. Shall we get some hot chocolate or something?
We...probably should "hash this out," like you said earlier. I'm still mad at you, you know...
Yeah, yeah. Still all serious about everything, I see. I'll fix that, let's get out of here and catch up a bit, have some fun.
This won't be pretty. I am SERIOUSLY going to kill Julie when I see her...
The voices on Fox's endlessly running comedy ''The Simpsons'' have reached a new contract with 20th Century Fox TV.
While heated negotiations between the ''Simpsons'' voice cast and their home studio seem to be a near-annual event, this latest pact is a four-year agreement that will earn the actors nearly $400,000 per episode.
According to the industry trade papers, the voices are back to work doing readings for the show's 20th season.
The 20th season is expected to only include 20 rather than the usual 22 episodes, but this latest set of negotiations could hardly be considered acrimonious. Talks in 2004 delayed the start of the following ''Simpsons'' season and it has been rumored that the 1998 impasse was so tense the studio contemplated hiring alternative vocal stars.
Dan Castellaneta (Homer), Julie Kavner (Marge), Nancy Cartwright (Bart), Yeardley Smith (Lisa), Hank Azaria (Moe) and Harry Shearer (Mr. Burns) are all signed on.
Remember the line.. Trust No One..... Now focus on this line..... I Want to Believe. The new X-Files movie is about just that the X-Files! Not much is being revieled as is the trend this year for movies (ie Cloverfield, The Happening).
So all I can really tell you is watch this movie and see if you really want to see it or not.
Was it good? I enjoyed it! I may see it right away or I may wait until it comes to the cheap movies!
