Oldies But Goodies

The Wonderful World of Larping
I just found out about this LARPing phenomenon last week when a coworker brought in a documentary about it that we enjoyed during our lunch time. It appears as though President Bush has been hanging with some LARPers as well.

Does anyone know the rules of LARPing? My friend, Jackie, from the CW Source and I want to start our own LARP group except she wants to be an Ibiza club-goer and panda enthusaist and I want to be a Starbucks barista and Blanche from the Golden Girls. Jackie and I weren't sure if you had to make it a medieval theme though, in which case I would dress as Blanche dressing as a bar wench.

Why do I want to be Blanche Devereaux in a world where I can be whatever the heck I want? You mean, besides the fact that she is a silver fox? I guess you could say I'm a bit obsessed with old people. They have so much to teach us! My grandma is one of the coolest people I know, she even lets me dress her up in my fashion accessories sometimes. Just look at how cool the Zimmerman's are.

In some sad news, a few of our favorites have passed...Pour a sip on the concrete for our homies

The loveable Charmin guy, who warned us, "Don't squeeze the Charmin" has passed. Dick Wilson was 91, and I hate to say it but when I think of toilet paper I always think of him. R.I.P.

I'm not sure how I let this pass me up but apparently the Fabulous Moolah passed away on November 2nd. My guess is that after wrestling she took on the responsibilities of bouncer at the Shady Acres retirement home swimming pool in Boca Raton, asking all the grandchildren if they had their visitor's passes with them. She wore her leotard better at 84 than I ever have.
