Would you gamble in Tunica?

I had planned to do a post in a month or so asking where you'd prefer to gamble if you couldn't gamble here, and I still might.

Meanwhile, our Travel section scooped me Sunday and wrote about Tunica, once famously labeled "America's Ethiopa."

Now, because of gambling, it has a host of hotels and other features (my parents go there for ballroom dances).

That said, I'm not sure if it's the kind of place I'd make a trip to, considering what all we have in South Florida.

Your thoughts?

I have in past but even though their Slots are alot Looser and they give Hotel Comps, Food Comps, Slot money to play on, i would rather stay here since i am so close to HR and Seminole Casinos but that may change. There have been some improvements here but alot more are needed at both of the Casinos i frequent for it to be a regular Entertainment Choice of mine.

1. Looser Machines.
2. Food Comps would be nice, would make it that much more inviting.
3. Enjoy the Concert Tickets now and then, would enjoy more when bigger Stars are here.
4. Some friendly faces working the Floor as Attendants. You can never find them, if need change, have a problem with the Machine or would like a Drink or some Food, no one comes around but once if lucky in several hours while there Gambling. And then when you do flag one down, they are rude and are not friendly. Do not smile, have an attitude. We are paying their Salaries, without us, HR, which is the worst of the two, does not need them if we are not there spending our Money. They seem to have a chip on their shoulders. Are angry.
5. The Slots were very tight, could not win, just take your money, that seems to have improved a little but needs alot more improvement. They seem to let you win now and then now but immediately take it back. This is from my experience. I have had one nite that both my Husband and i both won, we both did well. It is unusual though at both of the ones i visit. I had stopped going because of the ability to win anything. If not winning some now and then, no since going.
6. Slot Money to play, i enjoy and wouldn't play as often as i do without it. Much needed, entices me to go when i wouldn't.
7. Valet, they finally did something about that, not perfect but alot better. Now with Card can valet for less than before. Was $9, now $10 for Valet. I am used to Free Valet with Gratuitiy.
8. Bottled water should be free or very nominal charge. I forget what she told me but i was insulted. If playing and spending money Gambling, surely they can afford to give us a bottle of water!!
9. Security should be patroling the Garage, i never see anyone. I would like to know i am being protected. I do not go to the Isle for that reason.
So a little better but alot more needed to keep me Gambling here instead of Tunica or Las Vegas.
