Gulfstream promotions for August
At 10 p.m., Saturday, August 23, and again at 10 p.m., Sunday, August 24, members of the casino’s Good Luck Player’s Club will have a chance to win a 2008 Lincoln MKZ. Members will receive one free entry daily and can earn additional entries with casino play.
On Aug. 1, and on Saturday, Aug. 9, Gulfstream will randomly select a winner every 20 minutes from 2 p.m. - 10 p.m. to receive a portable air conditioner. Player’s Club members using their card will be eligible.
On Friday, Aug. 8, and again on Saturday, Aug. 16, Gulfstream will randomly select a winner every 30 minutes from 2 p.m. - 10 p.m. to receive a laptop computer. Player’s Club members using their card will be eligible.
This month Gulfstream Park’s casinos will pay homage to hometowns as part of its “Residents Reward” promotion. Members of the Good Luck Player’s Club that visit on their appointed day will receive $5 in casino free play and a $5 food voucher. The Resident Days are as follows: Aug. 4, Hallandale Beach; Aug. 11, Aventura; Aug. 18, Hollywood; and Aug. 25, Miami Beach.
Gulstream is also promoting is simulcast center. For the first time it is simulcasting and taking wagers on Del Mar and Saratoga.
The Monmouth Park’s Haskell Invitational, the first $1 million race of the summer for 3-year-olds is Aug. 3. Florida Derby and Kentucky Derby winner Big Brown is expected to make his first start since his Triple Crown campaign.
Monmouth, Louisiana Downs, Arlington, Ellis Park, Lone Star, Suffolk, Delaware, Colonial, Philadelphia, Thistledown and the Northern California fair circuit also are available.

Every Friday from noon to 4 p.m. until the end of August, Gulfstream Park will hold a Free-for-All slot tournament in the first-floor Finish Line Casino with total prizes of $3,000 in cash and free play. There will be 20 prizes awarded each week, with a weekly grand prize of $1,000.
