$5 million display rotates to Seminole Coconut Creek Tuesday

The Seminole Casino Coconut Creek gets the $5 million traveling cash display that made its debut at the Hard Rock last month.

Festivities are at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The display will be at the casino through April 19, and Players Club members can have their photo taken next to the loot. The exhibit consists of $100 bills encased in a 1,300-pound, custom-made $90,000 bullet-resistant Lexan showcase is expected to be announced soon as a Guinness world record.

During the six-day promotion, Seminole Player’s Club members will have a chance to win $1 million by swiping their Wild Card at a designated kiosk at the casino (the casino secretly dowloads the $1 million onto one of the tens of thousands of Players Club members each day).

Also, General Manager Steve Bonner will lead a money giveaway right after the $5 million display is unveiled and again at 1, 2, 3, and 4 p.m. A computer will randomly select slot players who’ll climb into a money blowing booth and walk away with as many $100 bills as they can catch.
