Isle or Seminole Coconut Creek: What do you play and what do you prefer?
The Isle is closer to I-95 and is non-smoking.
The Seminole Casino Coconut Creek pays better promos and brings in entertainment now and then.
Is that really it? Is it that simple?
I documented the competition between the two -- especially for Palm Beach gamblers -- in Saturday's Sun-Sentinel.
But I want to hear more reader comments about specifics. Is there a dealer you like at one place? Is there a buffet entry that attracts you? Let me know.
Thanks.

I live 3 minutes from Coco Crk. I play at The Isle. It's cleaner and the poker room is soooo much better in every way.

If you are a poker player then the decision should be easy. Play tucked away in what at one point was probably a storage room and to get to it you have to walk through a fog of cigarette smoke, or play in a spacious smoke free room with two giant HD screens. I play almost exclusively at the Isle. It simply has the nicest poker room in the area. I've been to Coconut Creek maybe 3 times in the last 18 months.
Slot players may think differently since it seems that Coconut Creek seems to have a million dollar jackpot winner every other week.

The poker room in Coconut Creek, reminds me of the "poker room" on the old Sea Escape. It's like they were sending you to the dungeons.
The last time I tried to go to Coconut Creek was New Year's and we were hungry and the buffet was closed, so we left. I've always considered the staff at Coconut Creek even less hospitable than Hard Rock.
I'm curious how many people actually go to the specific casino on a specific day for the promos? Personally, I don't pay the least bit attention to them as I really feel they are "rigged" toward their high rollers, at least at Hard Rock. We watched Preston/Betty Henn win 4 times in one afternoon. ...and I've seen Henn take at least 2 cars.

There is no comparison between the two. The poker players at Coconut Creek are predominately low-lifes. And offensive language is fully tolerated by the floor staff. Last time I was there a player screamed out an ethnic SLUR and the floor staff didn't bat an eyelash. Also the cocktail waitresses are dressed like whores. Plus as the day progresses the smoke smell from the hallway smoking area permeates the poker room and stinks up your clothing. I still play there occasionally, but i'm just being truthful.
