South Florida poker: Do we need sportsmanship rules?

hellmuth.jpg

The World Series of Poker is working on ... sportsmanship.

Based partially on the behavior of Phil Hellmuth, but also on Scotty Nguyen, the WSOP has new guidelines and other info on the tournament.

Going for the local angle here... do you think South Florida players are so unsportsmanlike that there needs to be new rules?

The brilliant cro-mags that scream "ship it"! over a $50.00 three-way pot need their diapers changed and/or their parents slapped. Beyond that, anything other than physical violence or the threat of such should be allowed. Nothing spoils an enjoyable evening at the tables more than some drunk guy standing over another drunk guy screaming about donkeys and pot odds.

I'm soo laughing!

That happened exactly to me; I hit a flush on an all-in on the turn, and the guy gets his fourth and a higher flush on the river and screams "ship it!"

Funny, Dentist. Good stuff.
