The spoof web site Not The L.A. Times linked gambling and the bailout with an article Obama urges bailout for 'responsible' gamblers.

You know, casinos kind of have a program like this in place already for high rollers: When a player loses, say $1 million, they clearly get comp rooms and meals, and often a 20 percent rebate.

And you can argue that gambling and the stock market really aren't that different.
