Isle alters schedule has "mega-stack turbo"
The Isle Casino and Racing Pompano Park’s Poker Room has altered its schedule.
A “mega-stack turbo” is 7 p.m. Wednesdays for $120. Players get 15,000 chips, but the blinds last only 12 minutes.
Meanwhile, satellite tournaments for larger events are 7 p.m. Mondays, 8 p.m. Wednesdays and 8 p.m. Sundays. Both tournaments are $60, with $40 rebuys.

NICK SORTAL began playing 3-card "gut" and "Indian poker" on high school band trips, moved on to "night baseball" and "pass the trash" during a Dr. Pepper-infused midnight game in the 1980s at the St. Louis Globe-Democrat, and now play in a regular neighborhood Hold 'Em game in Plantation. I have been given the assignment of writing about the gambling life in South Florida casinos for the Sun-Sentinel...which means sitting around watching poker on TV now counts as research.
