Updated: Big bingo payouts at Seminoles celebrate 30 years
Thirty years ago in Hollywood, the Seminole Tribe of Florida started what would become a gambling empire with ... bingo.
So the tribe is marking its 30th anniversary with a statewide game that could yield $1 million to one player who covers his or her card in 48 numbers of fewer.
It runs from 2-4:30 p.m. Dec. 13. Players can enter for $95 in advance; it's $110 on Dec. 13. Players must be at least 18.
The tribe will call the numbers and and players at the Hard Rocks in Hollywood and Tampa, Seminole casinos in Immokalee, Coconut Creek, Hollywood and Brighton will check their cards.
The Super Jackpot Million Dollar Bingo Game will consist of one “cover all” game. The first person to successfully cover all of the spaces on their card in 48 numbers or fewer will win the $1 million grand prize. If no participant fills their card in 48 numbers or fewer, the cover all winner gets $50,000.There also will be 20 games that pay out $2,500 each.
“It’s going to be a fun way to recognize the Seminole Tribe’s remarkable 30-year pioneer gaming legacy which has helped to improve the lives of so many North American Native Indian tribes,” said Seminole Gaming vice president of marketing, Jeffrey Hook.

Updated: No one hit the million, and two folks shared the $50,000. It was at the Hard Rock Hollywood and the Hard Rock Tampa. Both declined to release their names. Each venue had a hectic final 48 hours of sales for the cards, and the event sold out, they said.

Are you kidding? Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut hosts an annual Firecracker Bingo every July 4th and that bingo card has a $1 million coverall, two $25,000 games, 18 $15,000 games, 8 $7,500 games, and 4 $2,500 games.
Its Oktoberfest card in October offers the same money payouts for its games, except $500K instead of $1 million.
Then, every month, Foxwoods offers two Saturdays a month one bingo card with all $7,500 games and another with all $3,500 games.
Most of the rest of the cards offered twice daily, in the am and the pm, offer average game payouts of anywhere from $700 to $1,800. And that's every game, every card, every day.
So what's the big deal with the Seminole bingo?

ehhh...
Could be why Foxwood's is bankrupt. Bet they lower them next year...
Oh! Had it not been for the Seminoles court battles 30 years ago, Foxwoods would not exist.
However, you could wait and drive up there though...
But that would cost a whole lot more then a 100 bucks for your buy in here ;)
Think about it!
