Gulfstream gives away a Mercedes Benz every Sunday in March

Gulfstream Park is having a Mercedes Benz giveaway every weekend in March.

Every Sunday this month, at 9 p.m., the casino at Gulfstream Park will select five members of the Good Luck Player’s Club for a chance to win a Mercedes Benz.

Players Club members actively playing in the casino with their card inserted will be eligible for a piece of diamond jewelry as part of the “Crazy for Carats” promotion on Friday and March 12.

For racing fans, stakes races Saturday feature the Palm Beach Stakes, whose past winners include the likes of Go Between, winner of $1 million races such as the Pacific Classic, the Virginia Derby and the Sunshine Millions Classic.

About the author
Maybe you've made the right play, maybe you haven't. Your heart speeds up, your stomach rumbles.

NICK SORTAL began playing 3-card "gut" and "Indian poker" on high school band trips, moved on to "night baseball" and "pass the trash" during a Dr. Pepper-infused midnight game in the 1980s at the St. Louis Globe-Democrat, and now play in a regular neighborhood Hold 'Em game in Plantation. I have been given the assignment of writing about the gambling life in South Florida casinos for the Sun-Sentinel...which means sitting around watching poker on TV now counts as research.
