Why British "Big Brother" is better than the American version
I can't stand the American version of the TV show "Big Brother," but enjoy watching clips from the British version.
The main reason: the house talks. Whereas the American version often feels like "Waiting for Godot" meets "The Real World," the British version is like a creepy Twlight Zone episode where humans are being kept captive by unseen aliens running an intergalatic zoo.
Here's a clip from "Celebrity Big Brother 2007" in which Leo Sayer (the singer of disco classic "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing") demands new underwear from Big Brother.
That's right. I just wrote that sentence.
