The People vs. George Lucas

Count me among the once-proud Star Wars geeks. A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and Revenge of the Jedi (I refuse to acknowledge the change to "Return of the Jedi!"). I live and breathe those films.

And then came the "Special Editions." Ok, so Greedo shot at Han first. That really sucks, but whatever. I can live with it. Empire had some nice new matte paintings and some better-looking special effects. Then came the final "Special Edition."

All Star Wars fans should have known how the prequels would turn out simply by watching the unimaginable suck explosion Lucas made out of the musical act in Jabba's palace.

This documentary hopes to probe the deep reverence Star Wars fans had for Lucas compared to the intense avarice we all... er fans all felt at the Prequels. Fart jokes. Poop jokes. Stupid kid actors. Jar Jar freaking Binks.

Obviously, I have some strong feelings on the matter (as any true Star Wars geek would have), but I'll take those to the comments if anyone cares to engage.
