The Slim Suit: Why didn't it become a Snuggie-like sensation?
Two months ago I posted the ad for the Snuggie--the blanket with sleeves. I couldn't imagine anyone actually wearing one of those out in public. Frankly, I couldn't imagine anyone buying one.
Sigh. The other morning the cast of the Today Show was wearing Snuggies. A certain contributor to this blog now has his own Snuggie (hint: his last name is Tran). There are now even plans for Snuggie Pub Crawls.
My question: Why did the Snuggie catch on, but the Slim Suit fail? Don't people look just as ridiculous in tin foil suits as they do in blankets with sleeves?
