Bolivian TV airs dramatic footage of Air France Crash: clips of "Lost"
Hold on Jack and Kate!
How this made it past the editing booth, I have no clue.
This breathless TV report purports to show actual footage from a passenger inside the Air France crash. An "actual passenger" who somehow had a high-quality professional camera and was able to simultaneously get shots from different angles, etc., etc.
OR... this is some hardcore, viral marketing from the makers of "Lost".
Thanks to Failblog for this video.

This is a fake, how sad to try and make people beleive that this actually is Air France that crashed. It is really shameful to show such a lie.

The internet and the ability to send anything, to everyone, immediately, will make propaganda a tool for anyone.

Why is this still here? Because it's ridiculous and true: http://www.news.com.au/story/0,27574,25679077-401,00.html
I'm not sure what the issue is with posting the video.

The same video was used when GOL Airlines 737-800 and Embraer Legacy executive jet were involved in a mid air collision over Amazon Jungle in Brazil, Sept,2006. What resulted in 154 deaths.
I am Pilot and I lost friends that were in that plane.
It's unrespectful to the victims and their relatives. Please, have good sense and remove it from here!

How is this somehow "unrespectful?" I'm mocking the TV station for being so stupid, not mocking the victims of the plane crash.
If you're mad, contact the Bolivian TV station stupid enough to make this kind of a gaffe. You're barking up the wrong tree, Edgard.
Place blame where it's due.

Yeah, I think you are right. Sorry!
What we could expect from our TV stations from Latin America? Nothing else than craps like this to get audience at any cost. No matter what or who they will hurt.

Hey, no problem. It's a sensitive issue, which makes their mistake even worse than if it weren't a huge tragedy.
If the footage were somehow real, is it even ethical for a TV station to air it?

Mr. Brian, nothing else make me feel surprised. Nowadays has not even limits for explore the disgrace of others to make any dirty money.
I as Pilot and ex-employee of GOL and VARIG Airlines I get really offended when TV use footages like this to scare passengers and raise the pain of who lost a relative, spouse, son, friends in tragedies like this. I get ashamed for the lackness of humanity sense from some people.
Sorry for my bad grammar english.
Best Regards!
