Booty Pop is like a push-up bra for your butt

The folks over at the Infomercial Hell Blog have done it again, finding this amazing gem.

For all the ladies who want a little more J-Lo in the backyard, just toss on some of these football pad panties and watch your profile rise.

How could you not want to try these butt-cushions after this explosion of ridiculous adjectives: "Booty Pop turns a droopy derriere into a youthful-looking, head-turning, bootylicious booty."

They really needed to squeeze another booty into that sentence.

Funny commercial video: Magic PooTrap collects your dog's poop... magically?

There's not much to be said about this video other than it's best to watch it when you're not eating lunch. Also, be warned that there is much dog pooping, naturally.

This handy-dandy gadget allows you to walk your dog without having to clean up after it. Just strap it into this torture-looking device and cram the plastic "trap" under your dog's tail.

No poops! No oops!

Much thanks to our pals at the Infomercial Hell Blog for sending this one our way. Those guys find the best of the best (worst of the worst?) commercials in existence.

Norton Antivirus video: Kimbo Slice versus caterpillar

First, it was Dokken versus a chicken. Now it's famed street fighter-turned MMA prospect, Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson, versus a caterpillar in this hilarious antivirus commercial.

Slice is a polarizing figure among MMA fans (of which I am one). He grew famous for pummeling people in Miami back yards, but got his comeuppance in MMA in his first fight against a skilled opponent.

More interestingly, Slice joined the cast of The Ultimate Fighter, a Spike TV reality show that has upcoming MMA fighters duke it out for a contract in the UFC. One of my favorite shows. It will be interesting to see how Slice does against skilled opponents under the tutelage of two former UFC champs. The show's premiere is tonight.

The "As Seen on TV" products have some of the most entertaining commercials ever. This one, however, holds a special place in my heart.

Duracell Batteries: Use 'em or Else!

This Duracell commercial is a little too scary for my taste. So people who use Energizer batteries are bad parents?

By the way, just checked my "battery stash" and they are all Duracell. Whew, my family stays intact.

Real-world Star Wars commercials

Darth Vader playing golf. Boba Fett sipping espresso. Tusken raiders at the office.

You don't have to be a fanboy to appreciate these Spike TV commercials.

What would you do for a Klondike Bar?

The makers of the Klondike Bar have a contest going to see who can produce the best video extolling the virtues of the frozen treat. The winner gets $100,000.

SNL star Andy Samberg and his Lonely Island cohorts already have one up. I never knew the Klondike Bar was such a jerk.

Warning: The Klondike Bar gets blue.

Well, here it is. The new iPhone. Cheaper and faster than the first one. Do I feel silly for getting the previous version on the first day last year? Definitely. Will I still be in line for this version? Most probably. Sigh.

The real reason why Florida power went out?

Years from now, you will be able to tell your grandchildren where you were during the Great Power Outage of February '08. I don't think anyone can say that the media ignored the story. But has the media gotten to the bottom of what really happened? Here's a possible explanation (albeit a bit grainy):

Super Bowl ads '08: Gatorade

I've got to admit, I thought this was a fake Super Bowl ad on YouTube (there's a ton of 'em on there) until I saw it included in a round-up of commercials that will run during the game. So I'm pretty certain this is legit.

Nothing against the dog, but I think this spot has the potential of being the lamest commercial on TV tonight. What do you think?

Super Bowl ads '08: Garmin

Here is GPS maker Garmin's entry for the 2008 Super Bowl Ad Sweepstakes. I don't know that I'm going to rush out to buy a GPS, but it's clever and the music is good.

Random thought for you readers: Do you think YouTube will lessen the importance of Super Bowl advertising? If we can find this commercial on the Internet and watch it now, in the future will companies still want to pay a premium to get Super Bowl air time? I'm curious to know what you think -- after you watch this clip.

Super Bowl ads '08: Bud Light sneak peek

Clearly the folks at Budweiser aren't going to spend millions on Super Bowl advertising, only to have the clips come out a few days earlier on YouTube. Nope, you're only getting a short preview, YouTubers. (And don't believe those clips purporting to be the beer maker's 2008 Super Bowl ads -- they're either old commercials or ads shot on spec.)

If you look on the BudweiserMedia channel on YouTube, you'll find short clips of this year's Bud and Bud Light ads. Looks like they have potential, if you can gauge potential in roughly 11 to 18 seconds.

Here's one that I like, from the snippet I saw online:

Super Bowl ads '08: Justin Timberlake and Pepsi

Watch a Pepsi Super Bowl ad... before the Super Bowl.

Justin Timberlake is featured in this Pepsi commercial and gets his "bits" smashed by a mailbox more than once.

Also in the ad are Tony Romo and funny man Andy Samberg in a blonde wig.

Best Super Bowl Ad #1: 1984

This Apple commercial is a 58-second cinematic experience directed by Ridley Scott (Blade Runner rocks!). It’s hard to believe it debuted 24 years ago. Props to reader Mickey B. for guessing correctly.

A Barack Obama supporter created a bit of a stir last year with mash-up of this video. Here’s the original and the mash-up.

Best Super Bowl Ad #2: Mean Joe

This commercial didn’t debut during the Super Bowl, but it seeped into the America’s collective conscious during the 1980 game. Mean Joe Greene, a kid and a bottle of Coke.

If that scene played out in a football stadium today, the kid would find the nearest wi-fi connection, hop on ebay and advertise “NFL game-worn jersey for sale.”

He’d use the money to buy Guitar Hero and a case of Red Bull. Then he’d shred all night. Kids.

Best Super Bowl Ad #5: Cindy and Britney

Like Budweiser, Pepsi has been responsible for a lot of memorable Super Bowl spots.

The 1992 Cindy Crawford spot definitely created a lot of buzz and was perhaps her finest acting performance (“Fair Game” with William Baldwin was not fair at all).

For younger WTN readers, Pepsi + Super Bowl = Britney Spears. Better days.

Best Super Bowl Ad #7: Magic Fridge and Bud Bowls

Budweiser has been responsible for many of the best Super Bowl commercials, from Cedric the Entertainer’s date gone awry to the Budweiser Frogs.

But I think the whole Super Bowl commercial craze really kicked in with the first Bud Bowl in 1989.

I remember watching the Bud Bowl and actually wondering who would win. Sad. Apparently people even bet on the Bud Bowl (if you believe wikipedia).

Here’s a flashback for you and here’s a great Bud Light commercial from 2006. Hurry up, the magic fridge is back!

Best Super Bowl Ad #10: Robert Goulet and unicorns

Emerald Nuts has debuted some of the more surreal Super Bowl commercials in recent memory.

Last year’s featuring the late great Robert Goulet as an office gremlin was a lot of fun. That came on the heels of the “unicorn” commercial from two years earlier. The unicorn commercial reminds me of one of my favorite Deep Thought from Saturday Night Live:

One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. “Oh, no,” I said. “Disneyland burned down.”

There's no stopping us.

This is what it’s come to. With TV in reruns, now I’m on YouTube, looking up whatever random phrases pop into my head.

Oh sure, I could spend this time watching the “Lost” trailer or catching up with what’s on our DVR. Or maybe I could read or clean the house or do something useful. But why do that when you can search for old Silver Spoons episodes on the Internet?

That search led me to this incredibly awesome clip of Alfonso Ribeiro’s breakdance instructional book. I want this for Christmas now.

And, just because I can, here’s Alfonso and Ricky Schroder, busting a move at the end of what I’m sure was a very special episode of Silver Spoons in which many important life lessons were learned.

Will It Blend?

The “Will It Blend?” series on YouTube reminds me of the kind of stuff we did to entertain ourselves as kids. Along the lines of, ‘Let’s see what happens when we throw these Ewok action figures into the kitchen ceiling fan while it’s on high.’ (Answer: I don’t remember what happens. It was more than 20 years ago.)

Here’s the basic rundown: Tom Dickson, a genial fellow in a lab coat, takes stuff that you shouldn’t put in a blender, puts it in the blender, and blends it. He’s destroyed a dazzling array of items, including an iPod, an iPhone, glow sticks, lighters and a Chuck Norris action figure.

Tom’s latest experiment is whether he can blend Guitar Hero III. Check out the results
