Pac-Man: The Horror Movie

I always wondered what went through the ghosts' minds when I played Pac-Man. (OK, not really, but work with me here)

Now we all know, thanks to what appears to be a group of college kids with a video camera, editing software, colored tarps and a decent amount of time on their hands.

Woman spins around on an escalator

Kids (and kids at heart) don't try this at home (or at the mall). Below you'll see a woman spinning on an escalator.

Dancing Queen

Sorry, not that one by Abba. This is a short little film shot on a Nokia mobile phone -- the quality is surprisingly good -- by a young filmmaker in India. It seems to be a very low budget effort, with only a few "hands" involved:

He really doesn't want a sister

You can file this under the heading: "Breaking potentially exciting and/or upsetting news while child is strapped in a booster seat, Advantages of."

I'm going to use my powers of maternal intuition and say this boy is not thrilled with the idea of another girl in the house. Right? Then again, maybe this is just another staged clip and they're tricking me into thinking this.

Scary plane landing in Germany

I hate to fly so I typically shy away from any videos involving scary plane landings. I especially hate said videos when I'm getting on a plane later in the week to fly across the country.

But my colleague Steve Svekis was kind enough to send this video of a scary plane landing in Germany to me, so I will post this. Then I'll go stock up on tiny, 3-oz bottles of vodka to take on board with me to help get me through the flight.

Sweded Total Recall

Even though Be Kind Rewind isn't set for release until next month, several sweded videos have already started appearing on the internet. This Total Recall homage is my favorite so far:

I'll keep an eye out for any other interesting home movies.

And you thought your family was embarrassing

Some people are born to be singers. Some are not. For example, this family singing "That's What Friends Are For" at Seth's Bar Mitzvah in '93.

Thank goodness my grandma hasn't figured out how to post videos online.

Whale sharks in Florida

A Sun-Sentinel reader e-mailed this to our editors, and it landed in my inbox Thursday. I don’t know much about whale sharks, but I figured it would be cool to post some homegrown video on the blog.
