You would think that Silly Putty would blend, given that it's already sort of blended. But Tom is taking it to the next level by blending different Silly Putties together to create the Ultimate Ball of Silly Putty.
Seriously, Tom. You know avocados are a food, right? You're supposed to put them in a blender.
The Will It Blend? segments just aren't the same without the toxic black smoke at the end. When you blend avocados, all you get is guacamole.
The most interesting thing I learned from this clip is that they're giving away a trip to Blendtec headquarters and the winner gets to appear with Tom in a Will It Blend? video. Go to willitblend.com for more information.
This video blends (heh, heh, clever, eh? Eh?) two awesome Internet personalities. Blendtec inventor Tom Dickson and Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager. For those not familiar with Chad, he's Darth Vader's younger (and some would say emo) brother, relegated to being a shift manager at a Wisconsin grocery store called the Willy Street Co-Op (where my buddy shops and has actually seen Chad Vader walking through the parking lot, strangely enough).
Here, two immovable objects meet in an awesome display of destruction and splintering wood. Had this video included another meme, say, Numa Numa Guy, the Internets probably would have exploded in a mushroom cloud of awesome.
This just seems like a remarkably bad idea to me. I know the whole point of "Will It Blend?" is to see what happens when you put random things in a blender, but putting a stun gun just seems all sorts of wrong.
Our friend Tom Dickson from Will It Blend thinks he can whip this whole strike business. Next he plans to tackle the subprime loan mess with his puree button.
The Internet has spawned a universe of renegade video: an outpouring of parody, celebrity, sci-fi, bloopers, undiscovered talent and weirdness that defies category. We're in an age where homemade clips flare into worldwide phenomena.
We like this stuff. We think about it. And we show you our favorites.
