Sarah Palin: Katie, You Ignorant...
If you haven't yet seen, YOU MUST watch this video that is now raging around the Internet. It's Sarah Palin on the media! Notably, she takes a nice little hit on Katie Couric, who's "not the center of the universe."
Or the fact that that Tina Fey line about her kids as unwilling partners in marriage made "the momma grizzly in me" rise.
Her whack on Katie's the best bit - says CBS edited the interviews to make her look like a dummy by editing stuff out. "Katie, you're not the center of everyone's universe," says Sarah, as she watches Katie tell David Letterman that other interviewers shoulda asked why she doesn't read newspapers.
Here's the clip, and it's produced by John Ziegler - he's a libertarian radio talk show host in LA, who's been sharply critical of the media's swooning love affair with Barack Obama. Clearly he found a sympathetic ear with Momma Griz...The clip's sensational...

Tina fey's comment about the kids being pressured into marriage was completely true. Of course those kids were being forced to marry! Palin was claiming they were going to marry before the baby was born... for whose benefit was that?
Parading Levi around on stage... he looked like he wanted to sink into a hole. He definitely didn't look like a proud papa, just like a scared kid. Sarah, if you use kids as pawns, expect to be called out on it, hon.
If she already knew that the interview went bad right after it was taped, how can she claim that it was edited to make it look like it went bad? If it was bad as originally taped, it would have taken some magic editing to make it look GOOD, right? Naughty Logic, biting her in the ass again.
Once again, Sarah, Katie asking you what you read is not suggesting that there are no newspapers in Alaska. It is asking, are you, as an individual, qualified to lead the free world? Are you informed enough? Will you be more interested in the mechanisms of global politics and economics than Bush?
We need someone more clued-in than Bush to restore at least some of the U.S.'s previous good standing in the world. The answer was, she is no more informed than Bush, suggesting that it's likely she would have lead us down the same stupid path.
So, Sarah, your answering that question incompetently didn't make Alaska look bad; it just made YOU look bad. Deal with it.

There were plenty of silly anonymous blogger comments about Obama too, they were just spread out over a longer period of time since he was in the public eye much longer. The anti-christ chain emails and blog theories, for example. Yeah... I don't think anyone worth a grain of salt talked about the Trig's mother thing seriously.
The institute of marriage thing on SNL was sort of a low blow, but there again she's crying foul as if it's some sort of exceptionalism. How about the more recent media stir about the (democratic cough) governor of New York being made fun of for being blind? Numerous people in the media criticized that. Sometimes comedians push the boundaries of what is considered politically correct, civil, etc.
It's funny to watch her try and spin though.
That she can't provide anything more substantive than these murky and laughable insinuations, even after several months AND with an extremely sympathetic interviewer, speaks volumes.
...I keep chuckling every time I see the video's beginning still frame of Palin with the caption "How Obama Got Elected" written on it.

It amazes me that Sarah Palin was ever considered for VP.
Everytime she does an interview it just substantiates how ignorant
she really is. I don't care what publications she reads...I doubt she
understands anything she reads anyway. The Presidency and Vice
Presidency should be reserved for those who are the smartest and
best educated among us.

The one thing I'd love to see her do is take her Alaska National Guard and
come to the lower 48 and take back Washington DC. I know she would restore
"We the people". This is one fantastic smart woman and I'd rather have
her as president than any other person I could think of. We need Sarah Palin.

It’s very odd that she smiles through the whole interview, yet is often talking about how she is being treated badly. It makes it hard to take her seriously. And then there is the constant talking about the “lower 48.” It’s understandable when talking about, say, campaigning in the contiguous U.S., but not when talking about how she is perceived in the states other than Alaska, etc. Hawaii doesn’t count as a group fo voters? She's probably an okay person, but she doesn't belong in national politics.
Sarah Palin needs to quit playing "footsie" with General Campbell of the Alaska National Guard. Her decision to give him a third star was unprecedented and undeserved. Campbell is nothing but a self serving egomaniac who lacks integrity and moral standards. Experience is nothing if it lacks judgment. He is a politician and not a leader. The proud Alaska National Guardsmen need a real leader with integrity who has served on a battlefield and not some pansy. Sarah Palin ignores anything negative about him because they are cut from the same cloth.

This Guardsman has given up and hopes they get what is coming to them but he knows he will never get justice. The Generals are protected by the Alaska State House and all correspondence falls on deaf ears. The truth should overcome abusive power but in this case, I doubt it.

I am the parent of that Alaska National Guardsman and have sent numerous correspondence to Sarah Palin about the injustice he suffered by the Generals in the Alaska Guard. However, I can tell you this, we will NEVER give up. As soon as our son is out of the military, we will expose everything. It might be easier on Sarah Palin if she would be courteous enough to at least give some kind of semblance of a reply. She doesn't want to upset General Campbell, that poor excuse for a man. We are not game players, but honest, hard working people asking for justice. The blatant abuse of power is so evident but fear of retaliation overcomes speaking out. The truth will come out.

I happen to believe that ethics and integrity still matter. I'd like for Sarah Palin to know that the people hired her yet she refuses to administer consequences to her crony Generals. Is she mute or is the legislature mute? We will get justice for our son if it takes until Hell freezes over. There must be a politician out there with some courage and ethics to look into this matter. Otherwise, it goes to the media.

I would recommend Andrew Halcro for the position.
