There is pretty much no doubt that Adam will win, and even if the VCRs weren't set to capture him and millions missed him, he is still predicted to be Number 1 on Dial Idol, which has an uncanny accuracy.

Allison is very good, especially for such a young girl, and I think she'll have a great chance to be a success, if she stays true to herself and develops a personality. She is very flat, but, that's to be understood since she's only 16!!! She has such a mature sound, it's hard to put it together with her youth. It's a shame she isn't prettier, though. It shouldn't be that way, but, it is what it is. It's the entertainment industry where looks play a huge part. If she looked like Megan Joy, she'd have an almost even shot with Adam. He's not only an amazing singer, but, mesmerizing and beautiful.

Although those of us who were watching the show saw the performance, thousands (maybe hundreds of thousands) of people who Tivo'd missed it. And, it is an hour show. The contestant's sing for less than 2 minutes each. The judges take another 3 minutes. So 5 minutes x 8 contestants=40 minutes. The baby photos were cute but, hey, I'd rather see the the grown up Adam and, if this is a recurring problem, Fox should fix it. There were thousands of frustrated fans on the internet frantically searching for the video when they could have been voting...not that in Adam's case, it matters much. I'd rather watch Adam Lambert nap than hear most of the rest of them sing and that's probably the majority opinion. So, no harm done, but it's not like it would be rocket science to fix this problem. The funny thing is that because it was Adam everyone was freaking out. My email was clogged with frustrated friends typing, "Where's the Video???" Had it been anyone but Adam I doubt they'd have noticed. Not to be snarky, but I can't imagine there would have been a hue and cry if Tivo missed the judges comments for Matt or Anoop.

Sorry, but no matter what the results, each contestant deserves equal time. IMHO Adam had to sing last so the others would not pale in comparison. After all, sponsors support every TV show, so they don't want people switching it off after seeing their favorite. Still, if you won the lottery and they gave you "only" a million when you won $1.2 million, you'd be pretty ticked off. So they need better direction, that is, tell the judges to shut up when they start bickering, unless they thing the show is about them. Well, as long as he's safe, it doesn't really matter, but live shows need to be time-managed properly. I watched the original show and also the video of Adam singing and it was wonderful. Most of the videos have been removed because of copyright violations, but you can find them. Regarding people who record programs, many times I work until 9 but I still have time to watch the show & vote, so I disagree it won't have an effect in some cases. In Adam's case, I'd be shocked if it mattered, but that's not the point.

I think the producers should keep the show at 90 minutes untill they reach the final 6. That way they won't have the timing problems they experienced last night. ADAM was positively brilliant last night and it's a shame the entire country didn't get to see it, but that's what happens when you don't watch a live show in real time!

I'm sorry to have to tell you this Wendy, but you are an IDIOT!!!! Mr "sounds the same every song" Danny won't even make the final 2 let alone win. ADAM LAMBERT is the best singer ever on IDOL and the public, excluding a few tone deaf morons like you, has already pretty much declared him the winner, because he is SO MUCH BETTER than anyone else on the show.

My daughter, sister and myself, are all so in love with Adam. I watch him mesmerized and captivated. His voice is incredible, looks beautiful and makes me feel so happy when I watch him over and over and over. I have never been taken with an Idol performer like I am with Adam. I just hope when he makes it big, its on the screen, I would hate to only hear him on the radio, he needs to be seen and heard to fully experience him. He gives me goosebumps from head to toe when I see him perform. Everyone else might as well pack their bags now, other than Allison, it isn't even a competition anymore. Adam, you are AMAZING!!!!!! David Cook is so boring compared to Adam witha quarter of thee talent. He is in a league of his own. Can't wait til next week to see what he does next.

Hey Verne! Have you ever heard of pausing live TV? What happens is the DVR begins recording to the hard drive the show chosen to watch in the Live TV manner. One can pause, rewind and if paused long enough even fast forward the show their watching. Only problem is if the guide says the show runs from 8-9pm the hard drives stops at 9 pm. Now if a viewer is watching said show and has at times paused it or rewound it the live show feed stops appearing on screen. The DVR's view is instead appearing. In my case between pausing and moving ahead and behind we missed the overtime performance of Adam Lambert. It seems the DVR hard drive stopped recording at 9 pm. With our accumulated delay of maybe 8 minutes we didn't realize we'd missed the end. And of course it wasn't on the DVR since the show was scheduled to end at 9 pm.

3 of us were set to vote but Fox screwed us and maybe Lambert as well. This is not the Acadamy Awards. They run over as the recipients are unpredictable. Idol has no excuse for allowing Ryan and the Judges to jabber on in a very scripted show and thus alienating the viewers.

I dont understand why a lot of people who missed the end because their dvr turned off and stopped recording didnt set the show to stop recording later, I was behind also but saw the performance beause my dvr is set to record AI 10 minutes past the time the show ends, I do this show when it runs over I dont miss anything.

It actually was wrong that they went over on time and it was very unfair to not give equal time. However, if they had cut off Scott/Alison/Kris or whoever's performance it still woud have been wrong . The point isn't tha it's Adam, but rather that all are deserving of equal time. Now having said all of that, I am irritated that I cannot watch his peformance repeatedly all week in an obssesive compulsive manner b/c it didn't tape. Dont they get that we need our Adam fix???

If American Idol is about finding talent that is fresh and amateur, then Adam should not compete. He is a touring professional singer/dancer with national credits. He has been discovered already. Yes, he's amazingly talented and was my first choice until I watched some of the videos of him online. Not a homophobic at all, but I did find some of the images a little disturbing if he is going to be a huge social influence. Artistically brilliant though . . .

But what about those of us who DID miss it? Where can we finally see it?

I disagree with the comment that Adam should not compete b/c he is a "touring professional". Many of the past competitors have been performers or members of bands that have played for money (I believe David Cook was a member of a rock band before AI), if that is what makes one a professional. I think what AI is supposed to provide for performers is the "big break" to become more widely famous or recognized. I think the rule for not being eligible to be a contestant on AI is to never have had a record deal. Also I'm not sure why portraying himself in obviously homosexual imagery is necessarily going to be a negative social influence. I don't get making that comment while claiming not to be a homophobe.
