Adam was AMAZING last night! Not only was he amazing he answered his critics, with the help of Gokey, and showed us the difference between screaming and singing. Everybody can now stop saying that Adam screams... If you want to know what a scream sounds like just listen to Danny killing (and I mean that in a bad murdering chalk outline kind of way) the poor innocent song Dream On. That is screaming. You know it. It was bad. Yuck. My ears were bleeding. His fans know it too. I am sorry but there is a difference between screaming and Rock N Roll. We saw that difference last night. Vote for the Worst pick Danny Gokey = screaming. Adam Lambert = Rock N Roll.

I fear complacent voters. While I love Adam, and after last week, I voted over & over this week, the lines were not busy as I was using my landline to redial the 05 number.
I certainly don't 'fear' for his career, though. He's locked in, and like Kara said, no one else is doing (his style) right now, and it's his for the taking.

If he goes, I'll have no real reason to keep watching, except for Allison, who is my #2 pick, as I have absolutely no interest in the other two (boring as all get out) boys.

A good question and I hope you are right when you say Adam fans got a wake up call last week and don't take for granted he is safe because he is just so amazingly good! From a lot of posts I read Adam fans were armed to the teeth with their phones etc. I hope so, because like a post said above if Adam for some bizarre reason goes home there is not point in watching , excpet for Allison, and it will be such an anti climatic ending. I seriously don't think they will ever find anothe Adam, this season was the tops and he will go on to the super stardom and be remembered for a long time

i called last night to vote for adam at least 50 times and only got through about 5 times. Either something was wrong with his phone line, or people were voting for him like crazy.

I also believe that Adam is one of the most talented to come from American Idol....the other one being Carrie. What scares me is that I called for hours last night and got through every time. I only got a busy signal twice. I will be mad as hell if he goes because I wake up on Tuesdays excited to see what he's gonna do that night. But truthfully, and keep in mind I love Adam, it's not in his best interest to win Idol. He will do much better financially if he doesn't .

As for Chris Daughtry being voted off I can tell you that I had the TV paused with the number to call right there on screen and yet over and over again I would get "Thank you for voting for Katherine McPhee!". I redialed and redialed 25 times using the "IDOL" words as well as the number and yet it counted my votes to Katherine...never once for Chris. So I know personally it happened. But Adam can go and may have gotten into the bottom 2 last week correctly. Like Lil Rounds had greater pipes but I know she will be putting out albums that I will not buy nor would I attend her concerts. ...because neither Adam or Lil will be producing songs I personally will buy. ..just not my genre. Danny's vocals fit across the general spectrum and will appeal to more people. He also is likeable without controversy. Voting for him makes me feel good like patting him on the back for carrying on after the loss of his wife he so loved. If you are reading comments all over the internet there are people that were beginning to get angry as one said, "Adam should have admitted he was gay instead of having me and others defending him saying he was not. Now we feel like fools. I don't care if he is gay I just don't like the fact that we were made to feel like fools to believe he was not. It is like coming onto a gay that you think is straight and thinking something is wrong with you that he doesn't like you...if you knew he was gay you wouldn't make a fool of yourself." This type reaction is in comments all over the internet with pictures of Adam kissing another guy. So yeah there is more internet searches for Adam because of this controversy but it only goes to the fact that those who favored him may have decided not to vote for him. Regardless, Adam will become one of the most enduring and greatest rock stars of our day. His future is set. But I would not bet that he will win.

It's a far stretch to include Melinda Doolittle in with Hudson and Daughtry. To say she was the best of her season is stretching it, but to say she's among THE best, period? Makes me wonder what's in your Kool-Aid...

I'm really getting tired of hearing people complaining about him being gay. Geesh people get over it, straight or gay, it doesn't matter, all that matters is his singing voice! 90% of US will never meet him anyway, so its not like u have a chance with him. Just enjoy his wonderful voice, and leave his personal life where it belongs, with him. When I look at Adam i don't see a gay man or a straight man, i see an Entertainer.

Agree on the comment about winning Idol wouldn't be the best thing financially. I don't know that I'd want that stigma. I think Daughtry was "done right" by having left before the final. Carrie Underwood seems to have risen above her AI title, but I don't think I'd want that crown, really...as an artist. I'd want to be successful WITHOUT it.

So for what THAT commentary is worth, I think Adam hands-down deserves to win, but I think he would be better off without the crown...it might act like a ball & chain to his career. He'd never shake it.

People/Agents who are in the entertainment industry know what it takes to be successful. They also know what is 'best' for someone who has talent, and will usually say "take this gig," or "don't take that one...it's not a good move for your career."

Do you think that people in the industry already know that Adam is hugely talented, and that having the Idol title would be "bad" for his career, and might 'fix' the show simply so he doesn't GET that stigma?
I'm sure Carrie Underwood must have some sort of hangup every time she wins an award that people are saying snippy stuff about her having won Idol, and that she didn't "get discovered the right way" or "didn't pay her dues" however they deem is proper etiquette for getting discovered...like having to play in dumpy bars, or old playhouses or whatever...that she somehow got a "leg up" in the industry and "doesn't deserve" the big awards?

Ok, the above statement in the case of Jennifer Hudson is quite a bit of an overstatement, not to mention a bit of revisionist history. There were some songs that Jennifer Hudson sung very well, the big belting songs that showcased her powerhouse voice, but on songs that called for sublety, she was not a star.

I can understand her being someone's favorite from that season, but there were other good singers, particularly LaToya London, and the final winner, Fantasia Barrino. Yes, she got kicked off early, but at the time it happened, it was not a shock, and if the judge's save option had existed then, there is a very real chance it wouldn't have been used to save her.

I loved Jennifer in Dream Girls, and I hope she has a big career and happiness ahead of her, but let's not rewrite history to suit the needs of this article.

Adam will be fine with or without the 'Idol' title, as David Cook would have been. These people are gifted artists. The true fans that enjoy their music and talents will continue to support and follow them through their careers. No worries for either.

Love him or hate him, he is still the most interesting contestant the show has ever had. I don't think we will find another Adam Lambert in many seasons to come. There won't be any voting complacency either. Last week's Bottom Two appearance made sure of that. He will be one of the two left standing when AI crowns a new winner and deservedly so.

Win or lose, Adam has already emerged as the show's MOST ELECTRIFYING contestant in eight seasons. He's like a train wreck that you just can't stop watching (although I personally LOVE this train wreck!!).

But there isn't anything that this boy won't be able to do. He's a triple threat -- he sings, he acts and he dances. Just watch him during their Disco Group Number. He nailed those moves!!

Whether he finds a niche in mainstream music or becomes the new Freddie Mercury/David Bowie/Robert Plant or goes back to theatre remains to be seen. All I know is that now that we've been introduced to Adam Lambert all future contestants will already pale in comparison.

BTW, he may or may not swing my way but he looks damn fiiiiiiiiiiine in that picture!!!

I have to say that Adam will have a huge career whether he wins or not. But my thoughts on this is, that we are suppose to vote for the most talented and the one that deserves to become the next American Idol. So for people to say he would be better off not winning is kind of beating the purpose of AI. I truly believe that the best person should win the title.
Since America has the control on picking who wins. It should go to a person that stands out from the rest.

Sometimes votes are made by feeling sorry for someone. For instance, Danny Gokey. I love Danny. I think he has a sexy voice, just like what Paula said, but I don't think that he should be in the final two. He is the only person that hasn't been in the bottom 3. I have to ask why? Every week he doesn't have an outstanding performance.
My opinion is, that Chris and Danny are probably about even when it comes to their singing. Allison and Adam have more solid performances, and are unique.
I sure hope that Adam or Allison won't be sent home tonight. I feel they have a right to stay.

Adam is my favorite and he is consistently good in his performances. I kept voting for my second choice thinking that Adam wouldn't need it (for now). So last week was a wake up call for me.

Adam is carrying the entire show this year so the producers would have to be certifiably nuts to let him go. Then again they let Daughtry go and Taylor Hicks won but hopefully they, like Adam's voters, have learned their lesson.

I have been watching American Idol each week and I feel that adam should really be booted off so he can move on to bigger and better things outside of Idol. He is far too good for this show, and has carried the whold show all season with his wonderful performances.

Adam Lambert is very entertaining but he is to retro for me. When I hear that voice, it brings me back to the 80's and all the hair bands I used to rock out to. He would be great in Vegas or Broadway but not as a Top 40 artist. Sorry Adam. Alison, Danny or Kris deserves to win.

We all know that Adam will be fine with or without the American Idol Tittle but we should not stop voting for him. Adam is a great entertainer and he deserves to win. Let's give him the MOMENT he deseves. Let's give him the feeling of being acknowledge so he will know that he really is the best among the rest. I really enjoy watching him performs.
