Dylan Ratigan ... back to NBC

Former "Fast Money" guy fast-tracks back to NBC (AP Photo)
Appears to have been colder on the outside than Dylan Ratigan anticipated: He's back, this time at MSNBC. He'll anchor the mornings, 9 to 11, starting June 29.
Whaaa, you reasonably stammer-ask? He left CNBC in what appeared to be white-hot fury - bugged that it didn't match his considerable talents. I think he wanted to be a late-night talk show host, or failing that, get a high-profile gig with ABC News. (But it's a recession, Dylan! Media jobs are scarce! Particularly late-night hosting ones!)
But all's well that ends well...etc. "MSNBC is on a terrific roll, and adding Dylan really bolsters our lineup of strong personalities," said Phil Griffin, MSNBC boss and clearly a world-class diplomat, too. "Dylan will be the perfect complement to 'Morning Joe' and he rounds out a great team in the morning."
Said DR, who's learning to become a diplomat, too: "I am grateful to Phil Griffin for this incredible opportunity to create a program and collaborate with the impressive talent that makes up MSNBC. While I look forward to broadening my scope in covering the multitude of issues facing our country today, what draws me to MSNBC is that they have offered me a 2-hour forum to discuss any and all political issues with no directive other than to provide compelling content. Which apparently now I actually have to do."

Don't normally watch AM TV, but I was a huge fan of Dylan on Fast Money fan and miss him. (though I give props to MLee, who is hitting her stride and creating her own place on FM.) So I'll probably check out MSNBC when Dylan starts...
Rattigan is a Pompous Joke-Thankfully He is Off Fast Money!
Dylan talked over people and had too much political commentary on FAst Money... As a trader, I was annoyed by his soapbox. MNBC is a better fit for him, now he can make commentary galore. Fast money is better with Melissa Lee now, as Melissa just gets the facts and doesn't soapbox like DR did
i am baffled why he is in broadcast news... listen to him talk for a few seconds and you're guaranteed to be nailed by a smattering of studders
Welcome back Dylan, you were (are) missed.
Thank God Dylan is gone from CNBC, but somehow the morons at NBC are not smart enough to thank their lucky stars and gave him two hours? At least it is on MSNBC, the worst network in the history of the universe. Hey Dylan great career move hahahaha... MSNBC you just hired one of the most rage filled reporters out there, didnt you watch his reports where he called people morons and jackasses? Yeah what a journalist......

CNBC should thank its lucky stars it got rid of Dylan, I hated CNBC basically because of him...he was the angriest reporter I have ever seen. He used to go into rages where he called people morons and jackasses. I thought journalists were fact finders and purveyors of truth not spewers of hatred. MSNBC you really made a mistake on this one......Dylan nice career move hahaha
Alright, Dylan is back, I really liked him on CNBC, much better than suckup Maria. There is always room for another intelligent person on cable, although you can be less than average and still be way ahead of anybody of fox noise.
I am glad to see Dylan is back. I enjoy Morning Joe and am
let down when the show goes to regular coverage. I look foward to
seeing the morning continue with topical ideas and guests.
Good luck Dylan!
The only reason I TIVO'd Fast Money (i quit when he quit) was to watch Dylan. He was right on. Fundamentals aren't driving this market, the Federal Government is moving this market, up or down. Also, if you don't think Dylan was one of the funniest guys on television at the same time, you must be stupid, and voted for Obama.
Oh good! MSNBC has added another blowhard to their lineup. Now Olberman and Mathews won't be alone. NBC is showing the same judgment in running their broadcast division they have used to run GE Financial.

I voted for Obam and love Dylan Ratigan. You think Dylan is a republican? You must be stupid and voted for McCain/Palin .

Dylan was great with critical remarks unlike polyannas predicting
a rosy conclusion to the crisis.
Any new ideas, even if wrong, are better than blather, but Dylan
seems to understand the crooks on Wall Street.
I personally have really missed Gorgeous Dylan Ratigan on Fast Money!!! I Love Smart and Cute Guys. I am really grateful I can see this nice gentleman again on TV in June. All the Best to you Dylan forever baby!!!! I really Miss You on Fast Money!!!!!!
Dylan is quick thinking, fast acting, witty, and wins against anyone.
My only concern is he tries to control a conversation to much
and needs to back off.
congrats kid, I wish you the best.
MSMBC should create a show opposite O'Reilley on FOX. The current MSMBC show opposite O'Reilley can't have large rating, and O'Reilley is always bragging
about his rating exceeding CNN and MSMBC combined! If Ratigan were given a conservative, pro-business show at 8:00 PM (EASTEN) on MSMBC, the rating might began to challenge O'Reilley.
I have read the previous postings, most of which were negative in attitude toward Ratigan. I found Mr. Ratigan very believable and credible in his shows on CNBC and sorry to see him change.
As far as my trader credentials are concerned, I trade commodities, forex, and options.
I believe he has the talent to take the time slot opposite O'Reilley from FOX and WIN!.

Dylan is the bomb.
He's smart, quick witted, intelligent and his own person. He doesn't care about being politically correct, he wants the truth out. I will not watch FM anymore. I am so tired of MLee, a poor choice by CNBC to fill your shoes.
I will be watching and smiling with you. Good luck, I wish hugh success to you. Never lose your edge. We love what you do!

I was surprised at all the moronic comments here. Glad to see Mr. Ratigan
is back in the swing of things come June. Kudlow is a buffoon, Maria's voice
has my brain hurting and who's the clown next to Erin in the morning. At least
Dylan Ratigan stepped it up a bit.
DYLAN IS A CRUDE, RUDE, DUDE. I DON`T THINK THIS GUY WILL EVER LEARN HOW TO HOST A SHOW WITH CLASS AND DIGNITY . HE IS TO FULL OF HIMSELF. IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE HE GETS FIRED AGAIN. FRANLY I AM SUPRISED THAT NBC TOOK HIM BACK. HE MUST HAVE CRAWLED ON HIS KNEES AND BEGGED FOR FORGIVENESS.
"A WISE MAN CAN PLAY A FOOL, BUT A FOOL CAN NEVER PLAY A WISE MAN."
I truly miss DR on CNBC's "Fast Money." Perfect venue for him. I hate his new show on MSNBC. To hear Dylan start a show, in its infancy, about Michael Jackson is just noise.
Don't think this gig will last long. He should have stayed in the financial sector, in a venue with voices that fought back.
And yeah, there was this inane piece on his show today about why the weather is so bad. Not informative, he's all over the map, and this gig on MSNBC is not for him.
Dylan loves to hear himself talk. If he asks a question , he summarizes the entire situation, makes all sorts of analogies to show his complete understanding of the entire world situation as well as put in all of his personal opinions and then gives the guest two seconds to agree with him. If said guest does not comply, he is doomed to wait while Rattigan recapitulates his entire monologue. Those indeterminable sentences, with the stammering and peacocking gestures i.e. fist bumping, made for a predictable and ultimately boring Fast Money format. I can't believe he'll change in his new show, but I hope he does. He has a lot to offer if he can just rein in that ego and need to dominate all of the conversations.

I loved MSNBC until Dylan Ratigan and other changes made it difficult for me to continue watching. Ratigan is loud and rude. He seems unable to listen to others, interrupting others constantly. I adore a spirited debate of ideas. Ratigan's steamroller approach typifies HIS approach to debate; only HIS opinion matters. I find him mean and intolerant of opposing ideas. Fox News would have been a better fit for Ratigan's diva personality and bullying behavior.
