t’s official: Nadya Suleman and her brood of 14 are coming to a TV near you.
After weeks of meetings and negotiations, Suleman’s attorney Jeff Czech confirmed exclusively to Usmagazine.com that Suleman signed a deal Thursday night to star in her own reality series.
"[Nadya and the producers] are hoping to have an arrangement whereby several events in the children's lives would be filmed in a documentary series," Czech told Us.
“One of the events in the children's lives might be their first birthday.”

Describing the as-yet untitled show as a “quasi-reality TV series”, Czech said that the production company, Eyeworks, was moving ahead to make a deal with a network.
“They might be several shows aired during a year. There are all kinds of possibilities. It really depends on what the networks want," her lawyer said.
Czech declined to comment on how much Nadya would be getting paid for the deal, citing confidentiality.
“Her television program will not be like the Jon and Kate Plus 8 show,” said Czech. "[Nadya] is looking forward to providing her side of the story."

Star-Studded Legal Commentary for the Celebrity Obsessed
"Parker, Madonna and Octomom’s Baby Stories"

Baby stories are everywhere from CNN to Life & Style to the blogosphere. Last week, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick shocked the world with news that not only are the 44-year-old Parker and her husband expecting twins, but that the babies had been conceived and are being carried to term through use of a surrogate mother. Madonna’s attempt to adopt Mercy Chifundo James, an orphaned child from Malawi, was recently rejected by the African nation’s high court and the global pop star is now appealing the decision before the head of the country’s judiciary and battling custody claims by Mercy’s alleged biological father. Nadya Suleman, the ubiquitous woman known as Octomom, just struck a deal for a reality TV show in the UK that will further expose the conception of her octuplets through in vitro fertilization and follow the lives of her multiple children into adulthood. Suleman is also now being sued by celebrity attorney Gloria Allred as an attempt to protect the infant octuplets from exploitation.
Yes, the common denominator in these headlines is babies, babies and many more babies. However, it is the way that these children are arriving into the arms of their famous and sometimes infamous parents as well as the types of homes they are arriving into that has caused controversy and curiosity among the public. Frequently, the actions of Hollywood stars such as Parker, Madonna and Angelina Jolie as well as media generated celebrities like Octomom influence the lifestyle decisions of a broader general audience from the fashions they wear to the foods they eat and now to the ways that they are building their broods. As a result, surrogacy, adoption and planned multiple births via in vitro fertilization are becoming even more popular, alternative ways to shape a family in this modern age. Yet, all of these family planning methods present challenging legal and ethical questions for the parents to be, their future children and society that are frequently overlooked in the media frenzy.
Parker’s use of a surrogate mother brings to light the complicated web of legal, social, ethical and technological issues involved with this process. Laws on surrogacy agreements vary from state to state and therefore, one of the biggest potential risks involved for parents going the surrogacy route is that the surrogate mother will not want to give up the child once it is born. Do celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker face this risk? They can if the proper legal arrangements are not in place. Courts have been divided on the topic and have issued decisions on both sides of the fence. In some cases, rights to the child have been granted to the surrogate mother and in other cases to the intended parents. Also, is it really ethical for Parker to use a surrogate in the first place? That is a more touchy subject. While surrogacy allows couples who may not be able or want to conceive on their own to contribute genetic material to their future child, it also raises the question of whether commercial surrogacy simply amounts to baby buying and selling. Is paying a woman to carry your embryo exploitative of the surrogate and the child or simply a mutually beneficial commercial arrangement between two parties? If the parents get their child and the surrogate mother is paid well and treated fairly for her participation, what is the problem? Whatever point of view one takes on the ethical implications of surrogacy, it is most important for parents exploring this possibility to understand the legal implications of such a decision and invest sufficient resources to ensure that their parental rights are protected through the use of air-tight contracts. Parker and Broderick have the financial resources and are likely to have taken all of these necessary steps to protect their rights.
Custody claims by alleged biological parents can also present legal problems in adoption as is currently being seen in Madonna’s attempt to formally adopt Mercy James from Malawi. Mercy’s alleged biological father James Kambewa, 24, has now come forward in protest claiming he is capable of raising Mercy and that she should be brought up in her native culture not with Madonna. These custody claims are only further complicating Madonna’s adoption attempts. Madonna is also now awaiting the decision on her appeal to actually be able to adopt Mercy and take her from the poor African nation. The Madonna baby story touches upon the myriad challenges that cross-cultural adoption can present to adoptive parents, particularly celebrities. The adoption laws and policies of foreign countries, especially those in the developing world can be complicated, confusing and change quickly. Also, what if the adopted child’s biological parent steps forward with custody claims in the future? A clear understanding of the laws and policies of the country from which the child is being adopted is essential for adoptive parents to legally protect themselves. Celebrities, as in the Madonna case, are also facing increased scrutiny by the governments of the countries they are attempting to adopt children from. Questions of whether poverty stricken Malawi or Madonna’s material world is a more fit home for Mercy abound. Parents considering cross-cultural adoption also need to consider whether incorporating their child’s native culture into their new home is important and how that will be accomplished. Foreign adoption officials are likely to take this into consideration in evaluating potential parents.
Questions of parental judgment and fitness also sprout daily from the Octomom baby story. Suleman has invoked public outrage, ridicule and a now a lawsuit since news broke that she was a divorced, jobless mother of six living with her parents on government assistance when she became pregnant with octuplets through in vitro fertilization. While the home environment that Suleman is raising her children in is on the opposite end of the spectrum from the one Mercy would enter with Madonna, the issue of what is in the best interests of the child remains a common thread in both stories. Should Suleman have even been permitted by law to bring additional children into the world considering her financial and social circumstances? What responsibility do the medical practitioners who aided Suleman in her pursuit of multiple childbirths bear for the impact these actions will have on the current and future welfare of her children? Finally, is Octomon really exploiting her fourteen children by profiting from a reality show when those profits can be used to actually improve their lives? Thorny issues! Legislating what types of people can and can not have children and how many children they can or can not have is likely to be a difficult proposition with the increased accessibility of contemporary fertility techniques. However, the Octomom case brings much needed and long overdue media attention to the legal and ethical questions that drive the current fertility debate in our society.
Although Sarah Jessica Parker, Madonna and Octomom have all chosen different paths to build their ideal family, each of their respective decisions and actions place an intriguing twist on the traditional notions of child birth and definitions of the family unit. As celebrities help these notions evolve, the legal and ethical questions, just like their families, will only continue to multiply.

I hope they don't get American television to buy into this, but from what I see the little I see, there already are so many idiotic, reality shows on TV, I am sure the American people will flock to their new expensive digital and High Definition quality televisions, to watch trash like this.
It is not like we are begging to hear about it, but the media itself shoves it down our throats. Enough already!!!
I can refuse to view it, but the networks could also realize that many people would like to watch Quality TV, not Zero Quality TV.
