Gandolfini, Shrek: Separated at...?
Too bad the great JG didn't win for "God of Carnage" last night; in the tradition of eloquent, literate and well-acted acceptance speeches at the Tonys, the world would have loved to have seen exactly what he would have pulled off late night.
Instead, the great Geoffrey Rush won; someone must win, after all.
But Gandolfini did manage to score a pretty funny line at one point:
Despite what people think, he said, he and Shrek are not related...

I thought that Tony Soprano/Shrek moment was one of the best on the Tony Awards.
And don't you think Neil Patrick Harris deserves consideration as host of the Emmy Awards? My wife and I thought he did a great hosting job -- and loved that Billy Crystal-like song near the end.
