Official: 'The Beast' over
Yes, a little late on this, but A&E has officially pulled the plug on the Patrick Swayze cop drama.
A&E president Bob DeBitetto (yesterday) called the performance "an inspiration to us all"
and said that the series "has truly been a labor of love for everyone," but added that "after careful deliberation we have reluctantly decided not to attempt a second season."
Numbers were low and, of course, the lead has been seriously ill.

prehension, in your battle with cancer. You are certainly an in-
spiration to others who are facing similar life threatening medical
diseases. You have great tenasity to stand and not accept defeat.
However because of your heart to fight, you have set the stage for
many others. You have touched many lives. You are loved by
millions of people who have followed your acting career. Your in-
depth spirit and love for life has given more to the world than you
will ever know. God bless you as you continue your fight with this
deadly disease. You are a pioneer validating who you are, with
what you have given to the world on the screen and in everyday
life shows just how awesome you really are. I say "thank you"
and keep up the good fight.

I think of you often and I most certainly have you in my prayers.
It is so wonderful that you and Lisa found each other so many
years ago and are truly each others best friend.
I think that you are an amazing person and I would love to meet you
