THE BPL

Best Printable Line comes with the caveat of the quote being able to be reprinted for people of all ages. If not for this rule, Ari Gold would win every week. If not for this rule, I'd have been fired for dropping too many curses and lewd material in this blog.

The Big Knish

The Big Knish is awarded at the end of each season to the character the most BPLs. Here's the history so far:

Season 4: Ari Gold
Season 3.5: Drama, E
Season 3: Ari Gold, Turtle
Season 2: Johnny Drama
Season 1: Johnny Drama**

** Entourage the blog began midway through Season 2, but we went back and did the research from Season 1. Not surprisingly, Drama won that season's Big Knish, too.

Quick question

By Mark La Monica

Just a quick question.

How much longer can we hear about "Medellin" before Vince finds another movie to do?

OK, just one more question.

How much longer can this guy go without working? Seriously, doesn't he need a job soon? "Aquaman" isn't out on DVD yet, and he doesn't appear to be investor-savvy, so how much of that "Aquaman" paycheck is left?

Dude he is doing medellian soon. The title of the first episode of 4th season is "Welcome to the Jungle" that refers to medellian.

I was wondering the same thing myself last night (about his fianances that is); and did anyone else notice the annoying time-continuity gap last night? Weren't these guys heading down to Cabo for Spring Break a couple of episodes ago, and now its Yom Kippur already (which of course is September 22 this year). I know YK was essential to last night's plot, but how did we zoom forward six months in the span of two episodes...???

yeah I am glad to see that Ari looks like he will be coming back. now who is going to direct Medellin?

Vince's finances and the aquaman paycheck drying up? please...

Let me lay it out to you by quoting a very wise man, of course I am reffering to Yogurt from 'Spaceballs.' where is Vince getting his money from you ask? one word, "MERCHANDISING!"

They got Aquaman the coloring book, aquaman the lunch box, aquaman dolls and of course everyone's favorite the aquaman flame thrower.

Vince is probably getting a nice cut from all the kiddies whose parents are forking out insane amounts of money for Aquamen paraphernalia.

Is there any chance that Chase got points on the Aquaman deal? He was coming off one action film and one art-house flick that appeared at Sundance without a distribution deal. Could he possibly be getting merch money or ancillary profits?

However, he did do that Japanese commercial for a nice payday.

2 million for Head On
60k for QB
500k for the Chang-Chung commercial
3 million for Aquaman (inc. 1mil "allowance" from Warners)
100k for Vegas strip show
200k up on the blackjack.

So you are talking 6 million in three years just with on screen earning. Merchandise and the rest to be added. And that is just Vince.

Drama got residuals, fees for MOW, his part in QB, money as Vince's chef in Aquaman, money at the comic book weekend, and his money for Five Towns.

Turtle got a Saigon payoff of 40k and his money as Vince's driver on Aquaman.

So, yeah, they do have a hell of a lot of outgoings inc. Ari, Shauna, Marv etc. but they don't do too bad. Plus the studio paid for the Head On house and Ari treated them to a lot at the start.

Regarding Vince's finances...Wesley Snipes be damned, there are taxes to deal with...Plus an agent will take 10% of the earnings, a manager 15%. Not to mention whatever his mortage is on that house...

I said this awhile ago...He not only needs another job for money, but --at least in real life -- he wouldn't be a "hot" actor if he had that short a resume but doesn't work. I mean A1 made money, Q.B. didn't (or at least indie-movie money)and he was replaced for A2, which Hollywood wouldn't look so kindly on in terms of earning power.
