THE BPL

Best Printable Line comes with the caveat of the quote being able to be reprinted for people of all ages. If not for this rule, Ari Gold would win every week. If not for this rule, I'd have been fired for dropping too many curses and lewd material in this blog.

The Big Knish

The Big Knish is awarded at the end of each season to the character the most BPLs. Here's the history so far:

Season 4: Ari Gold
Season 3.5: Drama, E
Season 3: Ari Gold, Turtle
Season 2: Johnny Drama
Season 1: Johnny Drama**

** Entourage the blog began midway through Season 2, but we went back and did the research from Season 1. Not surprisingly, Drama won that season's Big Knish, too.

The only thing I want to say, and would love to have posted for the record is...Jeremy Piven needs to win an Emmy. (If he doesn't, then it needs to be Kevin Dillon for his constant hysterical delivery) The reason I mention Piven is solely based on this latest episode and pretty much the only reason I felt compelled to write tonight. His scene with the head of the school was so genuine and sincere that it should have gotten you choked up. I know that Ari is an expert at getting what he wants, but those moments, even for Piven as an actor, seemed so sincere that I watched the scene about 7 times. There is a moment where he sheds an obvious tear and wipes it away, but if you watch it again, right before a cut, you'll see the suprise in his face (I think) that he as a person, and an awesome actor, is genuinly caught up in that moment. Basically, I think that in addition to already establishing an amazing character, that one scene broadened it so much that he deserves no less than some recognition. P.S. Drama's line about making the girl ride her bike home home after, well we all know what he said...I hope that was a contender for BPL, maybe a little graphic, but out of no where and pretty funny.

Just a bit of trivia and the genius of the producers bringing cameo upon cameo into this show...the head master is played by the voice of Homer Simpson!
