THE BPL

Best Printable Line comes with the caveat of the quote being able to be reprinted for people of all ages. If not for this rule, Ari Gold would win every week. If not for this rule, I'd have been fired for dropping too many curses and lewd material in this blog.

The Big Knish

The Big Knish is awarded at the end of each season to the character the most BPLs. Here's the history so far:

Season 4: Ari Gold
Season 3.5: Drama, E
Season 3: Ari Gold, Turtle
Season 2: Johnny Drama
Season 1: Johnny Drama**

** Entourage the blog began midway through Season 2, but we went back and did the research from Season 1. Not surprisingly, Drama won that season's Big Knish, too.

Entourage 4/8: Writer Props

By Mark La Monica

If old-school WWF announcer Gorilla Monsoon were doing play-by-play of this blog, this is where he would utter his famous phrase of "The irresistable force meets the immovable object."

And really, when Best Printable Line and Writer Props come this close to converging, it's about as earth-shattering as King Kong Bundy going up against Andre the Giant in "The Colossal Jostle" at Madison Square Garden in September of 1985.

This week's Writer Props came about when the fellas were shopping for a desk for E's new office. They were all set to purchase the former desk of Mickey Rooney and Robert DeNiro for $42,000. The saleswoman comes back and informs the fellas that the desk already had a buyer the day before.

After some prodding, she hurdled over the privacy barrier and gave up the name of the buyer.

"It was Gary Busey," she said.

And so we have this week's Writer Props. It was such a great twist in the script that it gained some momentum for Best Printable Line, too. Never before in blog history has that come up. As much as we all plan on saying "It was Gary Busey" this week at work when things go wrong, we just couldn't hand over the BPL keys that easily.

Thank the blog gods for Writer Props.
