Not just for kicks

Looking for limited edition and totally hip kicks?

Shoe Gallery (244 NE 1st Ave.) in downtown Miami is the region’s only supplier of adidas’ just-released Original NBA Superstar sneaks with the Miami Heat logo and in the team’s colors. They feature adidas’ signature three stripes in red and yellow on a black suede shoe with the Heat logo in white.

Adidas’ new line is the first ever in which all 30 NBA teams have their own logo-ed shoes. Shoe Gallery is to carry a limited number of the Heat shoe for two weeks and then will have a chance to order any of the other 29 team versions. In January, the shoes will be more widely distributed to retailers such as Foot Locker.

Other cool finds at the Shoe Gallery: limited edition shoes, including Nikes and Air Jordans. And great tees that poke fun at sports teams and fashion icons. Among the current styles, is a shirt with “Lovers” written in L.A. Lakers script on the front and “Chamberlain 20,000” on the back references to Wilt Chamberlain’s wild days.
