Holiday gift idea: Calorie-free candy canes

Here's a post from the Sun-Sentinel's fantastic weight-loss blog The Skinny:

candycane.jpgFound: While browsing about About.com, the cutest gift idea for any woman subjecting herself to Atkins, South Beach, Weight Watchers, you name it. (Ladies, just forward this blog url to your main gift-giving guy -- or your mom.)

The gift recipient shouldn't really eat the candy canes, but she can bask in peppermint-infused shampoo, shower gel, bubble bath and body souffle (whatever that is). The line is named Candy Cane of course, courtesy of Philosophy.

The company refers to its edible-friendly naming conventions as "100 percent calorie free" and "won't add an inch to your waistline." (Well, they're not lying unless you gobble soap gel with a body oil chaser.)

Other yummy offerings that might make you consider that chaser: Apple Cider, Hot Cocoa, Cinnamon Buns, Gingerbread Man, Cookie Exchange, the list goes on. (Not a food group, but don't forget Sugar Plum Fairy.)

Ahem, significant-other types: This is pretty cute stuff for your favorite dieter or healthy eater to unwrap for the holidays.

Hint, hint.
