Holiday Gifts 2007: ‘Tis the Season of Giving and Getting

gift2.jpg

I’m thinking about buying myself a Christmas present. (C’mon. You know you’re shopping for you when you’re shopping for them.) I’m fancying the XM radio unit at Best Buy for $85, three months’ free subscription if I treat myself between Nov. 23 and Dec. 31. Installation runs about $40.

XM radio’s a great gift idea for baseball and music lovers. But it’s an ongoing gift: regular monthly fees are $12.95. Visit www.bestbuy.com/xm for more info.

If you want to shop for yourself and the women on your holiday list, go to Bijou Brigitte at Boynton Beach Mall. Bijou Brigitte has a vast selection of inexpensive earrings, colorful necklaces and bangles. I bought sterling silver drop earnings, each only $12.90. You’re sure to find something for your niece or girlfriend here – at least a stocking stuffer.

Be warned about the store’s return policy. My receipt says, “unused products may be returned within 7 days for an exchange or store credit.” So make sure your niece or girlfriend isn’t the “return-it-for-something-I-really-want” type.
