Tipper Gore at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams
Tipper Gore, wife of Al (almost president) Gore, is going to be the guest of honor at a cocktail party at the new Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams store Thursday (March 13) in the Miami Design District.
Mitchell and Bob have been friends with the Gores for years. And Tipper will be at the store to chat with folks about her photo reprints on archival paper that range from nature shots to portraits of Nelson Mandela and Maya Angelou. One of the most dramatic is the historic handshake between Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat on the White House lawn. Prices are $900 to $6,500. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Climate Project, a nonprofit organization the Gores established to educate people about global warming and what they can do about it.
I interviewed Tipper, by the way, at the High Point Market a few years ago. She was a delight, has beautiful skin and looked about a decade younger than her years. It was like chatting like an old friend....
Sorry, this event is by invitation only. If you're curious about her work, check out the photographs later at the store, 3841 NE 2nd Ave., Suite 101, Miami, 305-572-1123. For more, see mgandbw.com.
XOXO-- Shopper Girl
P.S. That's Tipper with Mitchell, left, and Bob.
