Keeping kids dry: Cool rain slicker

None of us wear northern-style raincoats in South Florida, but we still need to keep dry in what often seems like a monsoon.

This cute kids' slicker in waterproof fabric that was featured on the Today Show is just the ticket.

It has vented arms to provide air movement and an adjustable hood. But more than that, it's great nostalgia for grandma and grandpa who lived through the hippie movement. Tie dye, anyone? It's $38 at www.landsend.com. And there's even cute boots to match for $29.50.

Makes you want to have a child or at least borrow one.
