My friends Vickie and Tim had their Flamingo Park home on the Historic Flamingo Park home tour. I was put in charge of answering the door for visitors who came in droves.

Besides ideas in decorating your home, visitors may find local gift ideas on such tours. Vickie and Tim, for example, have put together a cookbook of 149 recipes from the residents' kitchens.

I had the opportunity to peruse the cookbook and it has some mouth-watering recipes that are beautifully illustrated.
