New Years resolution~Organize that closet

closet_double.jpg
It's that time of year again....New Years resolution time! What are we going to accomplish this year? I've given up on the ten pounds I've promised to lose for the last ten New Years. I might even have a ceremonial backyard burning of the old favorite jeans I have given up on ever getting into again.

Have you made a New Years resolution this year? Let us hear about your plans....maybe we can help each other, at least with moral support.

This year I am serious about getting my closet in order. With very limited space, it's going to be a challenge. But burning those old jeans might be a good start!

A previous owner lowered the whole closet ceiling to install a small duct for central air-conditioning. My first project will be to raise the ceiling behind the duct, and reclaim all that storage space.

Martha Stewart had some great suggestions for stretching closet space. (If I had a gazillion dollars and lots of employees, my closet would be great too, Martha. Can you tell I'm jealous? Insanely!!) Click on the link below to see Martha's suggestions:

Check back with our blog to see some of the things we're finding to accomplish the organizational miracle. Our first stop...next week, the Container Store.

How can you even criticize Martha? She just does everything so practically and with taste. I will offer this small peice of modern furniture that i use to help store my bedsheets and can be used for seating or a table.
i dont have the link but it was at inmod.com and it is called the "Detour Storage Cube"

Just in case you are like me and have trouble throwing things out! :)
