Try a small sideboard in the entry for more storage

Fellow blogger Marcia and I are are both working on our closets and organizing...our 2009 New Year's resolutions. I've just 'hired' my daughter to go through my clothes with me Sunday. She is brutally honest with her opinions, always has been (lets not spare Mom's feelings Sunday, kiddo, it's cleaning time!)
Remember the scene in Sex and the City, where Sarah Jessica tries on all her clothes and her friends give her the thumbs up or down? The scene will be a bit different at my house on Sunday...SJP had some pretty outlandish fashions, mine are NOT!

If you have wonderful big walk-in closets, then just go away...oops, no, I mean, you don't need to read this. If you struggle for space, let's share ideas.
One thing I did when I moved to my small condo from a nice roomy house was trade my decorative tables for storage pieces. The delicate antique foyer table is gone, switched to a narrow sideboard, similar to those shown here, from Ballard Designs.
Mine is also from Ballard, one of my favorite catalogs, only it's from the Ballard outlet in Atlanta. I actually bought three big storage cabinets at the outlet (one is now a bathroom vanity) so it made the mover's charges more palatable.
Your turn....where do you hide half finished projects in your house?
