Coupon: Save $1.10 on one can Progresso soup
You don't get coupons like this very often so I have to share. You can print two from the link below...it's for $1.10 off one can of Progresso soup. At Winn-Dixie until Wednesday, the soup is buy-one-get-one free. At $1.25/can...with the coupon they are 15 cents each...how can you not??
Did you know you can use two coupons for a BOGO? (Every once in awhile I get a grumpy cashier who won't take the second coupon, but most will.)
I did a quick trip through Winn-Dixie on my way to work today, armed with my printed sale list from couponmom.com. I bought $25.96 worth of groceries, but with BOGOs and coupons the discounted total came to $7.58. I am fairly new to couponing, it's SUCH a kick to see "You saved $18.38" on the bottom of my receipt!

I hope they lowered the salt (Sodium) in these soups -- I have an old can of this soup that has 66% of the RDA of Sodium (2 servings per can, 33% RDA per serving, I'm betting you'll eat the entire can at once like most people do). If you keep eating "tasty" things like this and you get older like most of us do, an eventual trip to the emergency room for congestive heart failure may make you start paying attention to the high Sodium in most "tasty" foods.

I was hoping no one would tell me that!! When I don't feel like cooking, which is often since I work the midnight shift, I usually have a bowl of lentil soup, and I like Progresso's the best. After the recent brouhaha between Progresso and Campbell, they left the MSG out, or so they say. Now that I stocked up, I'm afraid to look at the label!!

You can dilute the soups with water if you must, but keep in mind.. you will be diluting the taste from the seasonings as well when you pour out some of the soup and add water.. so the key here is balance.. I personally buy all low sodium to begin with, even if it is more expensive, sometimes.
