Borders Rewards Perks worth exploring
I recently got an invitation to join Borders Rewards Perks, open to any one who is a member of Borders. No membership fee for either club.
I found discounts on South Florida restaurants through Restaurant.com, 15 percent off Bluefly apparel, discount movie tickets, and 25 percent off patio furniture at Home Depot. Some good deals; some not so much. Forty percent off of Nordstrom's, for example, is still often $100-plus pricetag.
But worth checking out. Sign up at any local Borders store. -- Marcia "Bargain Hunter" Pounds

I'm just curious if I am the only one who gets thoroughly irritated with these "reward cards"?
If you have something "on sale" it should be on sale for everyone, NOT some kind of bribe to make people sign up for a card, for which the only purpose is the store to collect info about you.
I tend to totally avoid shopping in stores that do this and if I must shop in the store, I purchase ONLY the items I need and leave.
For instance both Pet Smart and Pet Supermarket have these cards; I buy my cat litter at one and cat food at the other. Both usually have cat treats "on sale" if you have a card and even "on sale" I can buy the same treats CHEAPER at Walmart and don't need to give personal data to do it.
