Publix BOGOs for the week of March 26th to April 1st
I always love the day Publix announces their new BOGO (buy-one-get-one-free) items. Life's simple pleasures.
This week there's an interesting assortment: Doritos, Lysol cleaner, Kelloggs Frosted Mini Wheats, Gatorade, Pepperidge Farm Goldfish, Oscar Meyer hot dogs, Post Cereal, Q-tips. See all at the Publix website.
A real strategic shopper will combine these items with manufacturers coupons and take full advantage of the savings. The cool thing is you can use one coupon for each item, even the free one. Every once in a while you get a grumpy cashier who won't allow it, but most do. We learn who the grumpy cashiers are, fast, and avoid their lines.

Actually as a former Publix manager, Publix policy requires them to take both coupons. The BOGO is a store sale and the coupons are manufacturers. So, next time they refuse both, ask to see a manager.

Thank you DP for your input. The bad part about asking to see a manager is the reaction from the folks behind you in line! But we can be more assertive now that you have given us the inside scoop.

Watch out for those grumpy cashiers. They think in their own mind they can rule the store. Always go to customer service. Lots of stuff going on with CVS red card coupons. Check it out at Publix!!
