Double coupons at some Kmarts the week of April 19th
Thanks to Andrea for this tip. Kmart will be doubling coupons, up to $2, at some stores this week.
I'm leaving for my niece's wedding in Ohio in the morning, I should be packing and getting some sleep, but I couldn't let this date get by without sharing with you.
Double coupons are the biggest news in the couponing community, and it's a rare occasion. I don't have time to follow up, because I have an early morning flight, so you will have to do your homework, to see if your store, or which stores, are participating.
Go to Kmart.com and type in your zipcode.

And now they take Internet coupons!! Woohoo. I don't know if they will double those, but I don't see why not. I was there on Easter Sunday and they have taped to the countertops of all registers "We now accept internet coupons".

I'm in Ohio, so why don't you all please leave comments as you find Kmarts that do or don't double the coupons this week. We can check in periodically for updates.

Did my run to Kmart on Sunday. Did pretty good. A few real good deals: Suave shampoo & conditioner are either 3/$5 or 2/$3. there is the coupon for $1.75 off 3 that doubles. Same with Suave lotion, 2 for $5 and there is a coupon for $2 off 3 that doubles.
My best deal? The 6 pk gatorade. Had some $2 off coupons. They were on sale for $3. Didn't do the full value double but did take $3 off total. Gatorade was FREE. Glad I did the maximum of 4 coupons per transaction (and 25 total per customer)

I went today & I might go back on thursday...
I did pretty well. I got band-aids, listerine, cat liter, johnson & johnson buddies soap, some cleaning supplies... it was $25 after the coupons. I'm sure I could have done better but I didn't go in with a good list of what were the best deals.
the best part was running into a fellow couponer :)
we compared the virtues of the coupon book with baseball card holders (my system) to the tackle box with dividers (her system) LOL
