Visit Borders bookstore for Mothers Day with this coupon for 30% off

Reader Robin commented on my last Borders post that she heard rumors that Borders was closing. Rather than answer in the comments I will post it here. You are right, Robin, Borders is in trouble.

The Borders chain has been having financial difficulties, as you may imagine, due to the faltering economy and Internet competition. I hate to imagine life without my favorite hangout, the Borders on Sunrise Blvd, nestled so comfortably on the river, just west of the Galleria.

Borders has closed some of it's stores, and the rest of the chain is for sale. To read the Huffington Post article click here.

I am probably as frugal as the rest of you...have been a good shopper all my life. But when it comes to buying books, I support my local Borders! There are good deals online, but not the ambience, and you can't touch and feel all the beautiful books. The home and design picture books are my faves!

Click here for a Borders 30% off one item coupon and rush on over to get Mom a book or gift for Mothers Day.
