Yes, school's almost over, but here's a sweet, sizzling deal that will keep your kids sharp through fall. Have your child read eight books this summer and score a free paperback from Barnes & Noble.

All your child has to do is share his or her favorite part of each book read, log it onto B&N's "Summer Reading Journal," and bring the list to a Barnes & Noble store.

They can choose among more than two dozen paperback titles aimed at first through sixth graders for their freebie. Check out the offer here. It's good through Sept. 7.
