Cheap hair dryer: Revlon Ionic 1875-watt hairdryer for $2.99
I read about this $2.99 hairdryer on DealSeekingMom tonight, thought it was too good to be true, so I ran to the all-night Walgreens in my neighborhood to give it a try. I'd hate to tell you about something that didn't work, plus my hairdryer was taking its last breaths.
It's on sale for $12.99 and you get $10 in Register Rewards. You pay the $12.99, but you get $10 back to spend in Walgreens. It worked...but make sure you get the pink model.
While I was in the store, seriously, there was an armed robbery at nearby Winn-Dixie in Rio Vista. All of the sudden the intersection in front of Walgreens was crawling with cop cars, all with their lights blinking.
As my imagination raced with visions of being taken hostage by the desperate fugitives, I wondered why I didn't heed the advice I always gave my kids concerning curfew, "Nothing good ever happens after midnight."

It didn't work, it is now on sale for $12.99 with no register rewards (mid week change). Apparently you were able to exploit the old and new deals together (old deal: $19.99 - $10.00 register rewards = $9.99 final). Perhaps because Walgreens is nationwide and from 12am-3am Eastern time it was still yesterday in California, and I happen to know point-of-sale software programmers are too lazy to handle that properly.

The store manager showed me a memo that said the sale had been withdrawn, but that was on the travel dryer. The sale on the pink dryer was still in effect, well, as of 1am.

Hehe...You could have always used that hair dryer as a weapon in the event you were taken hostage. Huh. Who would have thought a Winn Dixie over a Walgreens for robbery? Glad you were safe (and got the great deal!)

Haha, Jan. I could have beaten the armed robbers with my shocking pink dryer. I can see it now!!

Nicely posted Ashley. Thanks for sharing. I know, it was hard to just buy one at that price, wasn't it? I was tempted to buy more, but I decided to leave some for others' shopping enjoyment. I always hate when the good deals have been snapped up before I get there!

It's not fair to other consumers when someone comes in and buys them out since it's a good deal. I thought I was going to be too late for the dryer but I got the last one!
I did call my sister and my mom and told them to run out to their Wags and look for them if they needed it ;P
