Bride alert: Learn how to make frugal flower arrangements

The Frugal Florist will be giving a presentation on making frugal flower arrangements at 2 p.m. Saturday (July 18) at Field of Flowers in Davie. To save money, you'll have to spend: $25 for the event. Seating is limited, so call ahead to reserve a space: 800-96-FRESH.

John Klingel, director of the South Florida Center for Floral Studies in West Palm Beach
gel, is the author of The Frugal Florist: Do-it-Yourself Flowers on a Budget.

Budget brides should check out his Web site, Frugal Florist, which gives tips on affordable bridal arrangements.

At the event, Klingel will demonstrate different ways to create bouquets, centerpieces and aisle trimming for the big day.

Field of Flowers' Davie store is at 5101 South University Drive, 2.5 Miles south of I-595, between Griffin and Stirling Road.

Even if you don't go to the event, Field of Flowers is worth a visit -- absolutely gorgeous! -- Marcia "Bargain Hunter" Pounds
