Buy from survivors and help a cause

survivor%20jewelry.jpeg

Beautiful and unique jewelry, bags and wallets and other reasonably-priced gifts are available through Made By Survivors, an organization dedicated to fighting human trafficking and modern-day slavery.

Besides helping the international organization, you can find some gems for gifts or yourself. Here are two samples of the survivors' hand-crafted jewelry: Susan Six Strand Stone necklace for $60 and pearl earrings for $22.survivor%20earrings.jpeg

Made By Survivors is a non-profit that works to prevent slavery in at-risk and refugee communities by creating jobs for adults.

Of course, you should check out any organization before you buy its products or give money. But Made By Surivors says in its press release that artisans receive full-market value for their products and are paid up front. -- Marcia "Bargain Hunter" Pounds
