FREE, better yet, make money buying Quaker Oats

Oatmeal-Quick-Thumbnail_sflb.jpgWe try to save you money on groceries, but how about making money? Better yet! This is one of those complicated Walgreens deals, so pay attention!

Quaker 1-Minute Oats, 18 oz are Buy One, Get One Free this week with the coupon in the Walgreens weekly ad, found at the entrance to the store. Plus, if you spend $10 on Quaker products, you'll get a $5 Register Rewards.

Here's how you do it: Have them ring 4 cartons of Quaker 1 Minute Oats at $3.19 each, make sure the initial total is over $10, no coupons at first. Then hand them the Walgreens BOGO in-ad coupon, which should take off the price of two oatmeals. Then use 2 $1.25/2 coupons from the 8/30 RedPlum insert from your file of Sunday inserts. You spend $3.88 plus tax out of pocket, and get your $5 Register Rewards to spend at Walgreens next trip.

Sometimes there's a problem at Walgreens if you use more coupons than items, so I always get an 'insurance' item that doesn't take coupons, such as milk, or another sale item. This week, 12-pk sodas are 4 for $10, so it's a good time to stock up if you drink Coca-Cola products, A&W, Canadra Dry etc.

i think I used all those already.... oh well :(

This will help to save some bucks. I will try to follow it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Welcome Spielen- Walgreens can be difficult, you've got to follow all the rules, and even then sometimes the Register Rewards don't come out. But stand your ground, and make them ring over until it does.

If they advertise something, we should be able to take advantage of it.
