Coupons in Advance: Over $850 in coupons for Sunday November 8th

Be on the look out for over $850 in coupons in Sunday's Sun Sentinel. It's that time of year again....the holiday promotions have started!

The Walgreens insert has a $5 off $25 coupon in it, so that'll cover the cost of 4 papers right there. Walgreens doesn't track those coupon uses, so if you get 4 papers, you can use all four $5 coupons, good until November 14th. The Walgreens sale next week: Zephyrhills water $3.49; BOGO Club, CheezIt crackers, Keebler cookies; BOGO Scotch tape; Progresso soup 4/$5, and more, this $5 coupon is 'the bomb'!!

Remember, Donna counts all the coupons in the paper to come up with the $850, I only list what's in the grocery inserts. There is a Target ad book with toy coupons, these will not be on my list. Click here to see what's in your Smart Source and Red Plum inserts.

Not too shabby I think, but my husband just laughed and said I went for hamburger buns! :)

PS-Does anyone else get a "high" from doing this?

Well said, DP. I'm glad to hear you say that, that you get a "high," because only someone who understands WOULD understand. It's so addicting....and fun!

Maybe with Christmas coming up, we should all share holiday savings ideas at stores, or maybe you do that already? For example, last year I received a $15 off $15.00 purchase at JC Penney-Things like that....

totally get a high LOL

I had the most awesome shopping day yesterday -

first Target where I did the HP ink deal and got a $10 gc back and i bought pepperidge farm cookies for my mom at 2.54 and a $1 coupon from the 35th anniversary people magazine. they have a MIR too in the little coupon book that came in the mag for a cold stone creamery $5 gift card - so that will be a big MM (money maker)
I also bought HP ink & got a $10 gc back - expensive but I need ink so what can you do? I've tried the generics but I like the hp ink better.

with the $10 gc I did the wii deal - buy 2 get 1 free. use this $10/2 coupon from target's website to make them super cheap - putting them aside for hanukkah yay!

here's the coupon http://offers.e-centives.com/mcp/pd.cfm?encp=CFU8eBZ0Lp0%2B5sCf44%2F81H4nHuzOLj0UKCIr66iikzg0jgaQ3L2%2F86wLCUORuFfT2iyIsuP2PFdD%0D%0AnLt76KtcOQ%3D%3D
(those are all the toy coupons)
I've heard people who have bought 6 games, gotten 2 free, & used 3 coupons... don't know if that's kosher though in target land... I know it would be fine at publix, though. I guess check at CS first.

after that i went to three different publixes (including the greenwise market) and whole foods LOL and spent $25 and saved $150!!! might be my best ever & I totally needed it after last week's GM letdown :)

here's what I bought
6 regular special k - $1/1 IPs
4 blueberry special k - $1/1 IPs from coupons.com
6 tylenol PM - $2/1 from tylenolcalendar.com plus $3/1 from green flyer
2 tylenol rapid release - $1/1 IPs plus $3/1 from green flyer
2 tostitos (but I got the size that wasn't BOGO and the cashier of course didn't say anything - so I am going back tomorrow) I used the free queso dip coupon
1 tropicana orange juice
8 boxes of back to nature crackers (BOGO for 2.49 at the greenwise market) - $1/1 IP coupons from simple and delicious
4 boxes of strawberry yo kids yogurt tubes - they were on advantage buy at greenwise for $2.50 & I had $2/1 peelies from the kashi honey sunshine boxes I bought the last time that was on sale)
5 sorrento ricotta cheeses - $1/1 blinkie & $1/1 from yellow flyer (this ended yesterday)
1 sorrento fresh mozz - $1/1 blinkie & $1/1 from yellow flyer (this ended yesterday)
2 publix shredded cheeses

plus I had an albertson $5/50 and a publix $3/30

at whole foods I ran in and ran out just to get oikos yogurt - 4/$5 and used 4x manufacturer's coupon $1/1 plus a $1/4 from the whole deal booklet (store coupon) to make them free

Good idea, DP, about sharing store promos for the holidays.

Our readers are so great about sharing the coupon savings, the participation is growing. It's really a treat for Marcia, Erika and I to see comments. It's taken a long time, but we are finally seeing some activity here. YAYYY!

Yes, by all means, please post any holiday store deals you see. We are all ears!

Did anyone go to Walmart for the sale today?

Great post Andrea. Thanks!!! And good job. You are so good at finding odd coupons all over. Tell us when you see them.....

I tried to do the Oikos Whole Foods deal when you mentioned it before. They turned me down on the second coupon. I was not happy!

did you ask to speak to a manager?

holiday deal - a lot of the restaurants are doing the buy $x get $y bonus card....

Andrea,

And you know algebra too! :)

Seriously, How much is too much when it comes to free? I went back to Publix and actually had a MM. I printed those coupons I saw from Andrea and went and bought 4 bottles of Tylenol, I knew I would get money back, so I picked up an extra item. I was a little emabarrased when the cashier had to call a manager to over ride the coupons, because I had more coupons than items. But she said, as long as I didn't get money back it was all good.

The Tylenol will be very much needed, as my hubby has high blood pressure and goes through a bottle every couple weeks. Thanks again, Andrea for the heads up.

:p

i try to "fly under the radar" with the frees - buy something else to hide the overage (like you did)

Actually, when I tried to use two coupons for each yogurt, the cashier called the manager over. He was busy with something, it took him forever to get there. The folks behind me were not happy. Then the manager said 'no' only one coupon per item.

I explained that one was a manufacturers coupon and one was a store coupon, but he just said 'no.' So I didn't get the yogurt. The cashier said, "but it's only a dollar."

I told her it was on sale for a dollar at Fresh Market that week, "Only a dollar is not a good deal for a teensy little yogurt."

Plus I have too much of my father in me, the original 'grumpy old man.' Stubborn and had to get his way. Speaking of fathers, is yours feeling better Andrea?

Do any of you shop with children? Could they die when you argue coupons?

my kids are still young, in fact I try not to go with them LOl... one of my sons does think I "do too many coupons" lol - but he sure likes all the extra food I can bring home because I can afford more this way

I probably would have left too ... maybe. I left groceries on the belt last week with the whole GM thing

what's annoying is that if they just scanned it they would have seen! On my receipt it says "VC Scanned coupon" 4x (VC=Vendor Coupon) and then the final coupon they scanned says "SC $1.00 off oikos" (SC=Store Coupon)
