My favorite savings tip: Competitor Coupons! Publix is absolutely wonderful about taking coupons for competitor grocery stores, including Albertson's, Winn-Dixie, Doris Italian Markets, etc. The $5 off $50 purchase is my favorite one - this week, I had coupons from both Albertson's and Doris'. So, I saved $10 without even batting an eye!

mine won't take Doris'... or whole foods. (or target, etc)

Yeah, my Publix doesn't accept anything except Winn Dixie & Albertson's either. However, now that the Target has a decent size grocery section, I should see if they are taking their's now.
