Free Dr. Seuss storytime event at Target stores on Saturday

Grab a hat and read with the cat at Target's Dr. Seuss "Read Across America" storytime event from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26.

The free "Read Across America" event at all U.S. Target stores will feature giveaways, coupons and story time with Dr. Seuss favorites.

The event is in partnership with the National Education Association's Read Across America day on March 2, which just happens to be Dr. Seuss' birthday. Visit the NEA website for tools for teachers and parents to help kids become better readers. There also are links to articles on how to raise early readers and five ways to make reading more fun, among other resources.
