College students (or anyone with a .EDU e-mail address) can get one-year of Amazon Prime shipping benefits for free through the Amazon Student program, a $79 value.

Sign up with an .EDU address and unlimited two-day shipping form Amazon.com on millions of items including text books. There is no minimum order size. Plus, you can upgrade to one-day shipping for $3.99 per item.

Unfortunately, Amazon Student does not give access to the new instant video service recently added as a benefit for paying Amazon Prime members.
